Grizedale Forest Park is a short drive away and offers a variety of activities such as excellent hiking, mountain biking, and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. For those looking for a more adrenaline-fueled excursion, the region also has a number of National Trust sites as well as a range of water sports. The 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness will delight children, while the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick, and the Lakeland Mountains are all easily accessible.
