Within the village you will find two pubs serving food and local beers. Venture to the Lake District National Park where you have access to the peaks of Scafell Pike Great Gable, Hard Knott, Harter Fell and Muncaster Fell.

The accommodation was beautiful, decorated very tastefully and very modern, comfy beds, lovely big fluffy white towels, comfy sofas and even a coffee machine with complimentary coffee on go in it, very well equipped kitchen.. Hosts very nice people, they live just next door, nothing to much trouble, they left prosseco in the fridge for when your in the hot tub and bought us hot scones with jam and cream and lemon drizzle cake on Sunday afternoon and it was very nice to, thank you for that, it's a very relaxing place, nothing but a field behind the cottage so complete privacy when in the hot tub. There is a lovely pub just round the corner with award winning food and a very nice gin selection, it's the only pub left in the village so would advise booking so as not to be dissapointed, all in all a very nice time hope to go again later this year
