Stonegarth Cottage is in the centre of Grasmere. The property sleeps two people in its one bedroom, which can be a double or twin and has an en-suite wet room. The living accommodation is open plan, offering a kitchen, dining/breakfast bar and sitting room with patio doors. Outside is a secluded garden space, with garden furniture and off road parking. Stonegarth Cottage benefits from a central location in Grasmere making it the ideal to enjoy the Lake District.

Accomodation Details
All ground floor. One bedroom: 1 x double with king-size zip/link beds, en-suite with shower, basin and WC. The beds default to a King size but can be converted to 2 singles on advance request. Open plan living area with kitchen, small dining bar and sitting room.

Area
Situated in the heart of the Lake District National Park is the l village of Grasmere, probably best known as the home of William Wordsworth. Any visit to Grasmere needs to include The Grasmere Gingerbread shop. Also in the village are a number of shops, pubs, a church which dates back to the 13th century and Grasmere Lake. Grasmere Sports takes place every August, where you can watch participants compete in a variety of sports, including Cumberland Wrestling. Just five miles away is the town of Ambleside and Lake Winderemere where you will find shops, pubs, restaurants and the 17th century Bridge House, which is one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District. Cruises, boat trips and watersports can all be enjoyed on Lake Windermere and the towns of Windermere and Keswick are also within driving distance. Grasmere is a wonderful base for your Lake District retreat.

Stonegarth Cottage has a perfect position in Grasmere, with offroad parking, lovely facilities and a light and cosy living area.. We loved it. It's perfect for two people wanting to enjoy a central location in the Lake District with the option to walk/run/chill from their doorstep or have the option to hop in a car/on a bus and visit Keswik, Ambleside, Coniston (for example). The owners are really helpful and are there if you need to ask their advice and will make sure you have everything you need. Top marks for Stonegarth and we will be back!

Excellent holiday accommodation in the centre of Grasmere, we could leave the car and catch the bus.. Stonegarth Cottage is very clean, comfortable accommodation with a modern well equipped kitchen, wet room and underfloor heating. The owners made us feel very welcome and met us on arrival to show us around. Somewhere we would definitely recommend.

This is a lovely base for a holiday in the Lakes.. Only minutes walk from the center of Grasmere and right next to the bus stop. One could spend the week without having to use a car which we rate very highly.

Very comfortable, warm and well equipped with parking.. Could not fault in any way. Position ideal, peaceful in quiet road close to the centre of Grasmere. Good local bus service and plenty of places to eat.

Stonegarth is very comfortable and has everything that we could have wished for.. It is ideally situated in the centre of Grasmere, a perfect location for all of the central Lakeland attractions. We would happily stay there again.
