You are within easy reach of the North Pennines, Yorkshire Dales and The Lake District National Park, with walks such as the High Cup Nick and High Force just a short drive away. Alternatively, take a boat from Pooley Bridge (28 miles) to Howtown where you can walk to Glenridding and catch the boat back to Pooley Bridge, one of Wordsworth's favourite walks which offers views of Ullswater and Helvellyn.
