Head out to explore from your door and keep your eyes peeled for red squirrels, which are indigenous to this beautiful area.

Wander the local green with its Andy Goldsmith sculpture or lace up your walking boots for an exerting hike to the summit of High Seat (9 miles), the highest point of the majestic Mallerstang Edge fell. Stay close to home and visit the Pendragon Castle (less than a mile away) where the sandstone remains are steeped in legend surrounding King Arthur and his father.
