Rowan is a lovely cottage situated in an elevated position within walking distance of Bowness-on-Windermere and benefits from six acres of woodland to walk in. The cottage is just a short distance from Windermere Golf Club and the Lake Ferry. The cottage can sleep ten people in five bedrooms, one king-size bedroom with en-suite, four double bedrooms, two with en-suite and a family bathroom. There is also a sitting room with woodburning stove, a well-equipped kitchen with open plan dining room and a utility area. Outside there is a decked area, and hot tub. There is off road parking for two cars. Rowan is a cottage perfect for a much sought after Lakeland break with family and friends.

Bathroom with P shaped bath, shower over, basin and WC. Ground floor basin and WC. Kitchen with dining area. Utility. Sitting room with woodburning stove.

Area
The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere hold enduring appeal for visitors to the Lake District National Park, with each providing a range of nearby attractions, amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes. A variety of boat trips and boat hire are available from Windermere Lake Cruises in Bowness to Brockhole, Ambleside and Lakeside. The World of Beatrix Potter attraction and the Old Laundry theatre are 1.5 miles away. There are also a variety of watersports on offer for the more energetic at marine centres along the lake.

Rowan Cottage is beautiful! So well equipped, clean, spacious and felt very much at home there. The comfiness of the bed in the downstairs bedroom was absolutely amazing! I will be back for sure, and the hot tub was extremely relaxing. Thank you

This accommodation was absolutely superb.. Great location with perfect views. Slight issue with a party in one of the lodges but it was dealt with quickly by the on-site manager. Very welcoming and helpful with local knowledge of walks etc. Highly recommended and we will definitely be returning to this property in the future and using Sykes.

The external photo of property on the internet doesn't do it justice, I dismissed the property initially.. I was so glad I gave it another look as we all had an excellent weekend. Despite you asking people in other properties to consider guests and keep noise to a minimum after 11pm there were several noisy parties during our stay, this was disappointing for us as we had an 8 month old baby in our party.

Comfort cleanliness and feel of cottage were great! Hot tub, fire and general equipment was great but the oven didn’t work very well which meant we didn’t use it. Some key cards didn’t work on arrival but that was sorted by staff. Overall very nice stay and would go back.

The cottage was in a great location.. We got an 8 seater mini bus into Bowness for less than £8. It was spacious and clean, hot tub was great for relaxing. Would definitely recommend.
