Oak Cottage is situated close to the village of Backbarrow just one mile from Newby Bridge in Cumbria. The cottage can sleep ten people in five double bedrooms all of which are en-suite. Also in the cottage is an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburner. Outside is off road parking for four cars and a private patio with hot tub, furniture and BBQ. Oak Cottage is a lovely base from which to explore this fabulous part of the country.

First floor basin and WC. First floor open plan living area with kitchen with breakfast bar, dining area and sitting area with woodburner. First floor utility. Please note two of the bedrooms do not have en-suite but do have private bathrooms

The small village of Backbarrow sits by the banks of the River Leven and the southern tip of Lake Windermere. The famous Haverthwaite Steam Railway runs close by the village between Haverthwaite and Lakeside. Enjoy magnificent views across Windermere and the surrounding fells, or visit the Aquarium of the Lakes, where the naturally themed habitats bring the history of the Lakes vividly to life.
