Neddy Cut is a luxurious, detached cottage with private hot tub in the Lake District National Park, just 1.5 miles from the small village of Backbarrow and can sleep six people in three bedrooms. There are two super king-size double bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms and a twin bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, all situated on the ground floor. There is also an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and a sitting area with a woodburning stove. Outside there is off road parking for two cars, a private patio with furniture and barbecue, shared use of the extensive lawn and grounds and also a private hot tub. Neddy Cut is a great base for your well-earned break.

Three ground floor bedrooms with Smart TV: 2 x super-king size double with en-suite monsoon shower, basin and WC, 1 x twin with en-suite bath, shower over, basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with 60'' Smart TV and woodburning stove.

Area
Backbarrow is a small Lakeland village close to the southern end of famous Lake Windermere. The village is set on the banks of the River Leven, and offers riverside strolls plus a shop and pub. The attractions of the Lake District are close at hand here, including the chance to discover the World of Beatrix Potter, visit the Aquarium of the Lakes, walk the magnificent fells or while away the days in one of the many attractive villages such as Ambleside or Hawkshead.

Note: Due to fly fishing lake on-site, children must be supervised at all times. Note: Although this property has wheelchair access, there are steps down from the property to the hot tub. Note: WiFi is suitable for general browsing only, not downloading or live streaming. Note: Max 6 people, plus 1 infant. Note: Check-in 4pm. Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £100.

The owners and all staff are friendly and helpful.. The location is private and at the same time in easy driving distance of all the Lakes have to offer. Cartmel is small but has great food and drink to offer. The Belted Galloways are oblivious to the cars going through their pasture and will move out of the way when they decide to, not when the driver wants them to; added to the fun and kept the pace down to a real holiday level. Some good walks and runs to be had starting from the accommodation.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What a wonderful place and wonderful people.. When my partner first shown me this place I nearly ruled it out due to having young children 1 and 4, I thought the out door space may have been an issue. I am so glad we decided to book as it was not an issue at all, was amazing and our children loved it, such a sense of space, playing freely on the grass, meeting the farm animals and even feeding the lambs which our daughter absolutely loved. They gave us lots of ideas for days out we could do in the area with the children which was great and we enjoyed some great family days. And when their day was done and fast asleep, we could spend our time relaxing in the hot-tub admiring the views and cozying up on the couch with a glass of wine and amazing cheese board from a shop they recommended in cartmel (so delicious). I would definitely recommend staying here the properties are immaculate, the people are lovely and the balance of time with the children and for ourselves was perfect. We will definitely be returning.

A stunning and beautiful location.. So peaceful and quiet. Facilities in the accommodation were truly 5 star, with added attention to details - like the decor, TV's in each room, one disabled friendly bathroom, everything one would need for a break away. Not to mention the hot tub tucked away behind dry stone walls! And the tasty fruit cake left as a welcome gift!

The accommodation lived up to 5 star rating.. An unexpected welcome pack awaited us which was a very kind thought. Kath (the owner) was very accommodating and extremely helpful in sorting out queries and problems, also very friendly. We had a surprise 40th get together at Neddy Cut.. Kath who owns the property and Tim the manager were fantastic at helping to make sure every detail was perfect. The property is every bit as nice as the pictures on the website. The surrounding area and the estate were beautiful and tranquil. We would definitely return to Otter Tarn. The location is perfect for getting to Cartmel and Grange-Over-Sands. The information pack supplied when we booked was extremely helpful.

This was a spacious lodge for 6 people with everything you could possibly need.. Everything was spotless and very well decorated. We went for the Christmas week and Kath even provided an aluminium roasting tin and foil. The lodge was decorated for Christmas with a real tree with lots of Christmas extras . It was very thoughtful of the owners. We enjoyed using the hot tub even though the weather was cold and frosty. I could sing lots more praises about this property and it is a little more expensive than some but the standard is much better than most lodges. Next time we have a family get together I well definitely book there.

We have stayed at Neddy Cut twice already this year and have provisionally booked again for next year. On both occasions that we have stayed so far, we loved everything about the property and the location. The owners Kath and John could not be more friendly, helpful and welcoming. Before our first stay Kath sent us a superb list of everthing that we needed to know about the area - local pubs, restaurants, shops, places to visit etc. etc. When we arrived Kath was there to greet us and explain where everything was. The property itself is everything that we could wish for from a rental property for 6 people - spotlessly clean, well maintained, 3 en suite bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, log burning fire and a fantastic hot tub. The hot tub is really warm and does not go cold even if you stay in it for quite a while, which was a real bonus for us. It is immaculately kept and Kath and John check it every day to ensure that it stays pristine. The location is also excellent - a fairly easy 3 mile walk to Cartmel - the nearest village which has lovely shops and restaurants. However, the cottage itself is so nice you could easily stay here for a weekend and not go anywhere. It is very close to a lake with lovely views so you can go for a short walk for a few hundred yards if you just want to chill most of the time but stretch your legs. I can highly recommend Neddy Cut in every respect.

We stayed for a week with kids (Grown up) and partners. It was excellent! Superb accomodation, lovely loction especially if you enjoy walking in beautiful countryside and all from your front door. The hot tub was a particular highlight, in fact we used it every night! The owner Kath was really friendly and helpful without being in your face at all - just the right balance. Cartmel is only 3 miles drive and we had a meal in the Cavendish Arms, again I would recommend. Very good pub food. We will be going back to Neddy Cut.
