Amber Cottage is a cosy mid-terrace cottage located in the quaint village of Cark in Cartmel, just two miles from the priory village of Cartmel and can sleep four people. The cottage has a king-size double bedroom, a twin bedroom, a bathroom, a cloakroom with a basin and WC, an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with an electric fire. Outside there is off road parking for one car and an enclosed patio garden to the rear. Amber Cottage is a wonderful holiday base.

Two bedrooms: 1 x king-size double, 1 x twin. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Ground floor basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with electric fire.

Area
The small village of Cark in Cartmel lies just a couple of miles from its more famous neighbour, Cartmel, in lovely Lakeland countryside. Cark is a stop on the Furness railway, and visitors to the village will enjoy a stroll to the local beach, or a quiet pint in one of the two friendly pubs. Holker Hall house and deer park are just a short walk from Cark. Cartmel is renowned for its racecourse, and the town is well served with a selection of shops, traditional pubs and a Michelin starred restaurant. There is so much to enjoy in the area, from country walks to boat trips on Windermere or a trip to the seaside resort of Grange over Sands. A great Lakeland base for your holiday.

Perfect extremely well equipped cottage, great location good wifi and sky TV - perfect. Plenty walks for the dog and a pub within walking distance. Shop in the village but in the next village (2 mins) Fantastic bakery, Chinese take away with fish and chips ( excellent) chemist and post office . Pheasant pub 10 mins drive serves excellent food and is dog friendly. Must visit Cartmel, Grange, Ambleside, Grassmere and Keswick. Exactly as it says in its description.

The cottage was very well equipped.. . Also warm and cosy feel. Would be a great stay in the summer months as the garden is a lovely spot to sit. As we stayed February this was not possible, however we got nice weather and could clearly see the sun on the garden also not overlooked as fields at the back of the property. Cark is a great little village with 2 good pubs. Cartmel not too far away. Also Grange easy to visit. The Commodore hotel serves good food. Damian on the bar there providing excellent customer service as we visited friends for an 80th birthday celebration.

The parking was a nightmare.. The parking space was taken by others.Also there were painting contractors in tne parking area and also they were very disruptive around the cottage .I f we had been informed about their presence we would have chosen a different date.

The cottage met expectations only because we had stayed in the cottage last year.. What had improved was the lovely garden. I loved the very comfortable bed and cotton sheets (it is little things like that which make all the difference) I was in a twin bed because my 12 year old granddaughter wanted to sleep with her friend so that they could share IT gadgets!! A perfect cottage which was well located for the village of Cark and in short walking distance from all amenities in the village.
