4 Green Cross Cottage is a 17th century, stone built, terraced cottage in the village of Burton-in-Kendal in Cumbria. The cottage has one king-size double bedroom and one single with a pull out bed, which with the addition of a family bathroom makes it suitable for up to four people. Also included in the cottage is a kitchen and a sitting room with a gas stove and a dining area. Outside the cottage is a terrace with outdoor furnitur and a barbecue. Situated between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, 4 Green Cross Cottage is perfect for a holiday spent exploring these fabulous areas.

Area
Burton-in-Kendal is a village which has a Post Office/general store, a butcher and a pub that serves good food. It lies 3 miles from the market town of Kirkby Lonsdale, and 7 miles from Kendal, the gateway to the Lake District.

Region
Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Note: This property is close to the A6070, and as such, some road noise may be audible at busy times.

There was a few wood lice coming into the lounge from the patio area it did not .... There was a few wood lice coming into the lounge from the patio area it did not present a problem , but you should be aware of this in general we much enjoyed our stay the cottage is lovely and appointed to a high standard we felt at home on the first day and is ideally situated for exploring the lake district

We had an extremely lovely time.. The cottage was gorgeous, so so cosy and perfect for what we were looking for. Pub and shop within 5 minutes walk and just down the road from a great nature walk. Really loved it here

Lovely area to exolore, great cottage with a really comfy huge bed and all the things needed so it was like home from home..

Unfortunately we could only spend 3 days in the cottage because our dog was poorly so we had to take her home.. The cottage was lovely, homely and had all the things we needed. The villagers were very friendly and helpful. It was the first time we had booked through Sykes Cottages, and we would definitely do it again.
