All ground floor. Two bedrooms: 1 x double 4'6inch , 1 x twin 2'6inch. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Fitted kitchen. Dining room with electric fire. Sitting room with open fire.

Area
Set close to the River Fal and only two miles from the vibrant town of Truro is the quiet village of Playing Place. This aptly named holiday resort is ideally situated for exploring the creeks and hidden reaches which work their way inland from nearby Falmouth. Renowned as a centre for boating and sailing enthusiasts, the village boasts a shop and post office as well as a number of riverside pubs and restaurants in the near vicinity. With its lush wooded valleys and wildlife rich coastline, the area is an ideal spot for walkers and cyclists whilst the nearby towns of Truro and Falmouth are also worth visiting for their wonderful shops and other amenities. The Trelissick Gardens are within easy driving distance and make an interesting place to visit, as does the Helford River.

Lockable garage for storage of bikes/surfboards etc. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 500 yards, pub 1 mile. Please note: Towels are not included in the rental.

When we arrived at the property, we found it warm and welcoming, which is always good after a long drive.. We found the coffee, tea, milk and some saffron buns as a welcoming pack, I must say I've had better, but it was enough to start. In the morning we noticed that the shower curtain was in need of change, so I rang the owner and he came round to change it as soon as he could, which was good. The single beds are very small. My only disappointment was in the kitchen, the cooker was very old and inefficient, so I would like to see a more up to date when we return, also although the fridge freezer worked ok it made a lot of noise when working so it could be on its way out, my only of the minor thought was that the garden could do with some TLC. Other wise we are looking forward to our next stay. Just one other thing, I you walk to the Punch Bowl & Ladle [local pub] take a torch and a high vis jacket as there's no footpath.

The garden is very secure for dog. There were plenty of interesting places to visit locally. We thoroughly recommend this property.

We found this holiday rental to be the best we have ever stayed in, owner very welcoming on our arrival after long journey, and everything possible provided. Warm and cosy and very clean. Beds very comfy, bathroom shower so efficient we are going to buy similar model. Bed linen provided (good quality duvets!) only took our own towels. Kitchen modern and all equipment easy to use and there were instructions for all equipment within the bungalow. The dog enjoyed herself in the well contained garden, we had no qualms about her being out there on her own. There was a Spar shop just up the road but supermarkets in and around Truro and lovely beaches & gardens to visit within a few miles. We joined the N.Trust and visited all the gardens we could and dogs were welcome in ghe majority of the gardens, and after 1 October allowed on beaches. We would definitely rebook in this area of Cornwall, in the same property if possible!

Arriving after a long tiring journey we were met by the extremely pleasant and helpful owner who made us feel very welcome. it's like a holiday where you take your own house with you. We recieved the keys on time. The home was very tidy. After being there before it was a little like coming home. The home is in quiet location and it has a very large garden. Within a minute you can get on the road to all directions. The neighbours are very nice and quiet people.
