Trelengel is a lovely terraced cottage in the village of Delabole, just five miles from Port Isaac and one mile from the Cornish coastline. The cottage has one double bedroom with an adjoining dressing room, plus a bathroom with a hand-held shower. There is also a kitchen with a dining area leading outside, and a sitting room with a woodburner. There is off road parking for one car and a lawned garden with a patio and furniture. Set within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with lots of walking opportunities and Cornwall's beautiful rugged coastline nearby, Trelengel is the perfect cosy Cornish cottage for couples. One well behaved dog only.

Accomodation Details
Mostly ground floor. One first floor double bedroom with dressing room. Bathroom with small bath, hand-held shower, basin and WC. Kitchen with dining area. Sitting room with woodburner. Logs available for first burn in winter months.

Area
Delabole has an interesting and unique history having the oldest slate quarry in Europe. Delabole will provide you with a quiet village location just a short drive from the beaches at Polzeath, Rock, Trebarwith and Tintagel. This stretch of coastline has safeguarded bathing beaches, surfing and cliff top walks along the South West coast path. Delabole is less than half an hour's drive from Bodmin Moor including the dramatic landscape around Rough Tor, perfect walking country.

Shop and pub 5 mins walk. Note: Staircase with a rope handrail is quite narrow and winding; care to be taken. Note: Cottage is close to a main road, minimal traffic noise may be heard. Note: Adults only. Note: Check-in 4pm, check-out 10am. Note: Strictly no Sunday changeovers

Lovely cottage.. Delabole is a lovely little village and a great base to travel from. The cottage is as the description says. It does have low roofs, the stairs do take a bit of getting used too and the hand-held shower over the bath can be a bit difficult to use if you are a tall person, and the road outside is busy. However, we were very happy and loved the quirkiness of the cottage. The small garden at the back was lovely and a little hot-spot. Trebarwith Bay is stunning and was one of our favourites. The local pub 'The Bettle & Chisel' was delightful, food was great and the staff were very warm, friendly and welcoming.

Hi the cottage in this little village was lovely, the only thing we found a little upsetting was the road outside cars being driven at 40/50 some plus.. As we step out with our two small dogs they were terrified as the pavement was very narrow.

Lovely cottage in Delabole, it is near the road but it did state that, we just forgot what that is like but it was not too bad at all.. Good location being near to lots of extremely nice places to visit, not to mention wonderful beaches. Nice field over the back accessible via public footpaths for nice dog walks. Good local amenities, pub, shop, Fish and Chip shop and a lovely little garage selling useful bits and pieces too. One of our best holidays, the cottage was absolutrely great, home from home.

Trelangel has all the authentic charm of a real Cornish cottage.. Everything was as advertised and more. the enclosed garden was perfect for our dog. The log burner made it really cosy. The owner was friendly and welcoming when we 'phoned about the key.Thank you.

The cottage is very quirky and very equipped.. Very clean and tidy. Lovely small back garden. The thing that we were very disappointed with was the fact that even though you described the bath as small and hand held shower you do not actually state that you cannot stand up in the bath and use the shower if you are over 5ft! the staircase is above the bath/shower and therefore you cannot stand up as there is a slant in the ceiling. My husband is 6ft 2in and I am 5ft 8in and neither of us could stand up to shower even holding the shower attachment. My husband suffers with severe back problems and therefore for the whole duration of the week couldn't shower and neither of us could use the bath as it was too small. Also there is a sign on the kitchen side of the doorway leading into the lounge saying "Mind your Head" but there should also be one from the lounge to the kitchen as 3 times my husband hit his head and unfortunately the 3rd time he gashed it open. As I say, if you are not very tall the cottage is absolutely ideal as other than the bathroom issue we loved the rest of the cottage and couldn't fault it and it was in an ideal location for travelling round.

Great location for exploring Cornwall.. The cottage was beautifully furnished and decorated and had everything we needed. The walled garden was also perfect for our two dogs. The only downside was the noisy main road and the small bathroom that had a tiny bath and no shower, which when you are over six feet tall wasn't ideal!

Trelengel is a lovely cottage with thought and love clearly put in by the owners.. Everything you need and more; comfy bed, secure garden for the dogs, and good base. Really warm and cozy and that was without the woodburner, as we had fabulous weather in May. Trebarwith sands is a must - some of the roads to here though are single lane and an “ interesting “ drive!!! Local pub also does good food. Highly recommend and credit to owners.

The cottage was very quirky, with its unusual staircase and different ground floor levels.. It was very handy for getting around the pretty north Cornwall coast, Tintagel and Boscastle are a short drive away. The area is dog friendly in 90% of the pubs we visited.
