Holiday home
Kingfisher House is a detached house in the village of Tintagel in Cornwall. It has two bedrooms consisting of one double with a WC and a twin bedrooom, there is also a ground floor family bathroom, it can sleep four people. Also inside there is an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and a sitting area. To the outside is a rear patio with a table and chairs and off road parking. Kingfisher House is a charming cottage in an excellent location.

Area
Tintagel, home of King Arthur’s Castle, is a popular tourist destination. The area is dominated by the sea, coves and scenery. Several beaches are within easy reach and surfing is the main attraction. Tintagel has pubs and restaurants and the Old Post Office is a must-visit. The SW Coast Path passes through the village. 2.5 miles away is Boscastle with its quay and pubs. Further afield are Newquay and Bude, with their resort attractions, while the open spaces of Bodmin Moor, the Eden Project, Padstow and the Camel Estuary are all within a 40-minute drive.

Region
Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.

Electric central heating. Electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, 40 inch Smart TV with Freeview. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Ample off road parking. Gravelled garden with furniture. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 5 mins walk. Note: Parking is suitable for cars only.

After our first booking had to be cancelled due to sewer problems Sykes sent alternatives that suited us and transferred our booking straight away.. Kingfisher house was a lovely house in a perfect position with plenty of walks and shops close by and huge beaches for playfully dogs within an easy drive. The only problem was the parking space . Please believe them when they say only suitable for a small car. We

The village was lovely and the house was very close to the village and all amenties.. The parking at the property was not very good and is only fit for a small car. The bedrooms could go with some bedside lamps.

Great central location for Tintagel.. Property was good. WiFi worked well (thank god with 2 teenagers!). Parking would be a bit awkward for the less confident driver & I would have struggled had the property next door been let at the same time, i.e. getting 2 cars in the space provided would be nearly impossible. Would visit again :-)

Kingfisher House is very well located for the amenities of Tintagel being seconds away from the shops, pubs and cafes.. Tintagel provides excellent access to SW coastal path and the house is an excellent location to use as a base to explore the north Cornwall coastline. We were fortunate that the adjacent car space wasn't in use as i don't believe we would have been able to access it with our skoda estate. Although the house had been cleaned in preparation for our arrival, it had a distinct musty/damp smell to it.

The property is modern and well fitted.. Is very near to all of the Tintagel village amenities. The permanent neighbours were kind and helpul. My one small criticism was that access to the allotted parking space was very restricted especially when reversing in or out due to the neighbours allotted parking spaces at the side of the access driveway. If two cars had been parked side by side in the allotted (Kingfisher) parking space then neither would have been able to maneuver in or out without both drivers being present and they could be complete strangers. Fortunately only my car was present throughout our stay so no big problems. I would still be happy to stay there again.

Car parking not the easiest if you have a medium car or a large car as there is more cars parked in front of kingfisher House picture looks like there is plenty of space.. Location of cottage is excellent for ( 10 yards from Main Street ) Tintagel and Cornwall, and the King Arthur’s Arms is a good place for eating. Cottage is ok for a family of 4, 4 adults may find it a bit on the small size. If you have booked remember to take tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bin bags etc as you will not find much there ie 4 tea bags small amount of coffee, sugar 1 bin bag and not much else. But overall Cornwall is always the place to visit.

The house was exactly like the photos, very clean and comfortable, we enjoyed Tintagel and the Tintagel arms was an excellent place to eat just round the corner, everything just on the door step..

Lovely house well situated, very quiet considering property was just off Tintagel high street.. Could do with more cooking utensils ie;pyrex dishes to use in microwave &a grill pan to use in oven.Out door furniture could of done with being replace as it was in a bit of a state. Apart from these issues we enjoyed our stay at Kingfisher House.
