Here, you will also find the 16th century, Ayr Racecourse which is the venue of the Scottish Grand National, the Ayrshire Handicap and the Ayr Gold Cup, in addition to three golf courses. Within the town you will also find a magnitude of historical landmarks to explore, including Burns Cottage, Loudoun Hall and St. John's Tower. To the South of the town is the majestic Galloway Forest Park which houses breath-taking views and the dramatic scenery of the towering mountains of Merrick, Mulwharcher and the Rhinns of Kells, that are waiting to be explored.
