Speedwell is an immaculate terraced cottage, one minute walk from Charlestown's harbour and sandy beach. The cottage can sleep four people and has three bedrooms, a king-size double, further double and single plus a family bathroom. On the ground floor is a kitchen and a sitting/dining room with a gas fire. Outside is a courtyard garden with furniture and there is off road parking for two cars. Located within easy reach of the pubs, restaurants, shops and galleries of Charlestown Speedwell is perfect for couples and families.

Over two floors. Three bedrooms: 1 x king-size double with en-suite shower, basin and WC, 1 x double, 1 x single. Shower room with shower, basin and WC. Kitchen. Sitting/dining room with wood burner.

Area
A delightful and much sought-after coastal village of stone cottages and Regency houses, on the south coast near St. Austell. Famous for its collection of tall ships riding at anchor in the harbour, the shipwreck museum, excellent pubs and restaurants and easy access to the coastal path, it’s the perfect holiday destination. It has even been used as a filming location, most well known for appearing in Poldark. The area is rich in golf courses with Carlyon Bay and Porthpean close by. The picturesque fishing village of Mevagissey is 20 minutes' drive away by car, while the Lost Gardens of Heligan, several stately homes and gardens and the fabulous Eden Project are all within 5 miles, with Newquay and North Cornwall coast only a 35 minute drive away by car.

Fuel and power included in rent, wood and kindling for the first fire. Bed linen and towels included in rent. Cot(120x160 cm) and high chair available. Parking for two cars on private dead end road. Enclosed courtyard garden. One pet welcome at £30 per week. No dogs allowed up furniture or beds. Sorry no smoking. Pub within a 3 minute walk. Beach 2 minute walk. Shop less than two miles.

Speedwell cottage is a lovely airy cottage and much improved by the addition of en suite bathroom.. It is in a brilliant position close to the harbour and all restaurants and good access to coastal walks. Also provides parking which is a bonus. The housekeeper Andy was very friendly and sent me informative texts telling me the cottage was ready earlier than expected. I would definitely go again - this was our second visit.

Little touches of doggy treats fresh scones and flowers left for us was so welcoming .. ..the cottage was immaculate !!!!...the cottage itself could not have been situated in a more ideal position close to everything ..will definitely be returning ..thank you for a lovely holiday

The cottage was lovely and the location was very convenient for the habour and restaurants.. I believe access would be a challenge for people with mobility issues, as there are stairs and a slippy floor in the downstairs hall. This needs a different surface. The equipment levels are good, however there are some niggling issues with the tiolet banging when flushed and the cooker fan that did not work. Really enjoyed my stay at this cottage and would use cornish cottage holidays again without a doubt

Excellent week.. The crockery and glassware could do with a close inspection. There are a lot of chipped and cracked pieces. The tin opener had gone walk about but Andy replaced it within half an hour. Great location. Loved the wek

Really lovely cottage in a fantastic location.. Easy parking outside. Cottage so clean and tidy. Lovely bathrooms. Kitchen so well equipped: Really loved our time in Charlestown we were really lucky with the weather, the back garden is a little sun trap so some loungers would have been nice. There was a great washing machine but no washing line which was odd. There is a tumble dryer but not everything is suitable for a dryer. Overall wonderful and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Speedwell is a fab cottage in a fab location.. Andy the housekeeper was very freindy and keeps the place in great shape. Parking outside the cottage is essential in Charlestown as otherwise you would pay a fortune. Only a short stroll to the harbour with a couple of pubs/bars/restaurants which is all you need locally and plenty of choice only short distances away. We spend most of our time on Porthpean beach which our 6yr old loved but again you are spoiled for choice if we wanted to stop around. Also plenty of rainy day options so we'll definitely be returning.

A lovely cottage in a great location.. On the minus side no hairdryer and my partner found the latex mattress on the king size bed uncomfortable. It was fine for me! Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and found it very relaxing. We would go back to that cottage.

The cottage was kept immaculately, & the cleanliness & functionality of all appliances & general décor was 100%. Speedwell is a great holiday cottage.. It's clean, comfortable and really homely. Charlestown is a great base for a holiday in Cornwall with great local pubs, coffee shops and restaurants and lovely beaches and walks from the harbour. We will definitely be back.

Great cottage in a lovely location.. Beautifully clean with barely used appliances/ utensils etc. The cottage doesnt have a dishwasher as stated in the listing though.

This cottage is fabulous! It is warm and clean and has everything you can think of that you might need. The new ensuite is lovely. It is a real home from home. The welcome basket was a great treat, thank you! It has its own parking space and it is just a couple of minutes to the beach and restaurants. We all really enjoyed our stay here and have booked again for next year. Definitely worth a stay.
