Cottage in South Cornwall in St Austell, Cornwall

Description
This cosy and traditional cottage is located in the heart of the harbour village of Charlestown. Charlestown was built between 1790 and 1810 to help build up the industry of exporting copper and clay, so it is rich in industrial history. The famous tall ships can be seen here, while the village has also appeared in several films and TV programmes. St Austell, the largest town in Cornwall, is just a few miles away, with a larger selection of shops, restaurants and cafes. The cottage is also the perfect base for exploring Cornwall, with attractions such as the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan just a short drive away. This property retains many of its original features, which include exposed beams and wooden floors. On the ground floor is the lounge, kitchen and dining area, which is all open plan, opening up the space on this level. The cosy lounge area features a Smart TV with Netflix and Catch Up and a wood burner effect electric fire, while the kitchen features a new cooker with induction hob and double oven, coffee machine, fridge with freezer box and a washer/dryer. Up on the first floor, accessed by a steep, open tread staircase, is the double bedroom, with further character added by the sloping ceiling. The bedroom also has an en suite shower room with a WC. Bed linen, towels, Wi Fi, electric and electric heating are all included with this property, as well as a welcome pack to help you settle in. Step outside in to the heart of Charlestown, take a short stroll to the harbour or enjoy the pub, café or restaurant within short and easy walking distance.
