The property was very pleasant and comfortable and had a well equipped kitchen, however we were a little disappointed to not receive a welcome pack, particularly as the visitor’s book has glowing thanks for the cream teas and provisions provided on arrival from previous guests! It was particularly annoying to read that the owners recommended we use kitchen foil when using the grill pan, but didn’t actually provide this! The accommodation was dog friendly with an enclosed garden, but dog owners need to be aware that the garden is not secure and it’s only a short hop over the small wall onto the adjoining property, which has an open gate close to the main road - and sheep in the next field! Although the village and the pub are within walking distance, I wouldn’t recommend trying, the cottage is on the main road to Helston with no footpath or even a grass verge (I normally go for a run whilst on holiday, but didn’t dare, and definitely didn’t want to try walking with the dog) - there is a footpath at the back of the lane, but it’s blocked. We did walk across the neighbour’s grass field and eventually found a route which took us close to Praze am Beeble, but not into it.
The property was ideally located, however, for exploring the south west of Cornwall in the car.
