Godolphin is a welcoming detached bungalow set in the village of Polzeath. With sea views, this cottage sleeps six people in three bedrooms, consisting of two twin bedrooms and one room with adult bunk beds, as well as a bathroom and additional separate basin and WC. The cottage also has a kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with open fire. Outside there's off road parking for two cars and an enclosed lawned garden with patio, furniture and barbecue. Godolphin is a convenient base for families, surfers and walkers with plenty of places and attractions to enjoy in the area.

Area
The seaside village of Polzeath boasts a sandy beach and a number of small shops, cafes and restaurants. Just over seven miles away is the popular market town of Wadebridge, which is set alongside the River Camel and offers an array of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as North Cornwall's only family-owned cinema. Also the town of Padstow, with its harbour, pastel-washed, medieval houses and celebrated restaurants is within reach.

Region
Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.

Oil central heating with open fire. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washer/dryer, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for fire inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Lockable storage for surf boards. Enclosed lawned garden with patio, furniture and BBQ. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop, pub and beach 5 mins walk. Note: Although this is a no pet property, the owners occasionally stay at the cottage with their dog.

Had a great week at Godolphin.. Very comfortable and great views. Ideally situated for good access to the coast path and beaches. Many thanks to the owner for arranging the cleaning of the property in time for us access the property to meet our supermarket delivery at 4.00pm. We hadn’t been made aware that check in and check out times had changed to allow thorough cleaning of the property. Entirely understandable. We particularly appreciated the new and clean flooring throughout the property. We would definitely book here again.

There were a few issues.. Time of arrival stated as 3pm on all paperwork but were told on arrival by cleaners it was 5pm. Difficult after long journey and one of the party suffering from ME and looking forward to lie down. Beautiful views but not stated anywhere that property on steep hill and 5 min access to village and beach gained only by going up and down steep hill - again difficult if you have ME. Niggles with front door lock seizing which was notified but not resolved 3 days later. Property pretty tired and little issues like showerhead not keeping in place but kept dropping down when used. Also several light bulbs not working. Summary - I think it would be beneficial to state that property is on hill and access to beach/village when walking is via steep hill (holidaymakers aren't always young and fit). Also the arrival time should be accurate to allow better travel planning. Property would benefit from a bit more maintenance.

A lovely property - clean, well-equipped and comfortable with good access to the beach (5 min walk along road into Polzeath) and beautiful views.. Ample storage for boards, wetsuits, etc and pleasant garden to sit and enjoy view and/or sunshine! Would certainly return.

Might be worth mentioning that the driveway / parking are not for the faint hearted.. OK for the young, but not so easy when aging. We really liked the bungalow and would go again.

Great views of the beach , perfect for surfing equipment storage .. Comfortable and well equipped. We have already booked for next year as we loved it so much ❤️

On arrival at property it had not been cleaned and had no linen or towels.. Good initial contact with sykes customer services then I felt it was left to me to chase. Eventually got into a cleaned property at 1830. On complaining I was eventually offered £50 a week later which equates to less than half a days rent which I reluctantly accepted.
