Mount View is a wonderful first floor apartment situated in the harbour town of Penzance. This apartment sleeps four people in two bedrooms, consisting of one double and one zip/link twin, as well as a bathroom. The apartment also has an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside there's off road parking for one car and a shared enclosed lawned garden. Mount View is an ideal base for couples, friends and families with plenty of attractions and places to go to keep everyone entertained.

All first floor. Two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x twin (zip/link, can be double on request). Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Kitchen. Sitting room with dining area.

Area
The seaside harbour town of Penzance is situated in one of Cornwall’s most popular holiday areas. The town offers the National Trust owned St Michael’s Mount, as well as winding streets, shops, clubs and restaurants, and there are a wealth of sandy beaches very close by. The South West coast path passes through Penzance and winds its way along the cliff tops towards Land’s End, plus the open air Minack Theatre and Gwennap Head are close by.

Cornwall's visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britains premier holiday destinations.

Note: Garden is located across the road from the front of the property.

Great place but a note in the description to say access to the front door is via an uneven external stone staircase would possibly be helpful for anyone whose mobility wasn’t in tip top condition.. Also that once up the stairs and in the front door there are 2 steps into the kitchen, 2 further steps up from the kitchen into the bathroom and 2 steps down from the kitchen to the hall leading to lounge and bedrooms.

Lovely apartment, the cleanliness could have been improved and the bathroom was in need of redecorating.. It would have been nice to have been able either to wash our towels or had a change in towels as using the same towel for a week wasn’t ideal. There was no where in the apartment to dry clothes or beach towels so maybe that is something to be aware of? Also, we did want to put heating on but there was no controls within the apartment to do this so one night we were very cold.

We booked this apartment for a winter get away to see a friend. We loved the place ! It's quirky and very central for any where in Penzance. There are fabulous views across the harbour. The place was spotless and very welcoming. Every thing is here that his needed for a relaxing break. The heating was on and it was very warm. There were fresh flowers and some scones jam and cream ! The apartment is accessed by stone steps from outside. There are also 2 steps up to the bathroom and 2 down from kitchen to hallway. Could be an issue if someone in the party struggles with stairs. The kitchen is well equipped with a Lovely fan assisted oven. There is also a dishwasher. My family and I enjoyed this place very much. There is a beautiful garden at side of property that was perfect for the dogs. We didn't used the garden as it was winter.but would have used it if the weather was better.

A lovely comfortable apartment.. Well situated in Penzance, beautiful garden and great views towards St Michael's Mount. A washer/dryer would be a useful addition, otherwise very well equipped with everything needed for a holiday.

Would recommend going to Cornwall out of season as it was so quiet and no queues or traffic jams.. Lovely cottage to come home to and big picture window to see the view. Very central but be aware there is only one parking space if both flats are occupied

Mount View is a gem.. We had a wonderful time in its relaxing comfort. Everything is top quality and it was one of the best equipped kitchens I've ever holidayed in. Beautiful crockery and cutlery. The furnishings and decoration were excellent, it was a real home from home. Even read a couple of books from the bookcase despite having brought my own holiday supply. The views were mesmerising, watching the sea and the buzz of Penzance. Comfy chairs and a massive sofa to stretch out on. Perfect base for the bottom end of Cornwall within easy reach of everywhere. We visited the Eden Project and Lands End to give you the range. A lovely, lovely holiday home. We'll be back.

This is a great holiday cottage with everything you need for a perfect stay.. Right on the on the harbour with fantastic views the owner even thoughtfully provides a pair of binoculars to enjoy the wonderful sea views. Only a short walk into town with plenty of cafes and shops and close enough to all the main attractions of Cornwall. With the added bonus of being a dog friendly cottage.

Lovely property very well situated in Penzance, a few minutes walk from shops and restaurants, and with easy access to the bus and train stations for trips further afield.. Decor is tasteful, with the accent on relaxation and comfort, with an excellent supply of books too! The view across Mounts Bay is the real 'wow' factor here, it's lovely to just sit and watch the world go by from here. Contact with the owner is excellent and any issues are resolved promptly.

Delightful apartment overlooking Penzance harbour with pubs and restaurants all a walk away. Great base for travelling around Cornwall's coast and also for the boat to the Scilly Isles. The beds were comfy and the place was spotless. We had a day of bad weather and spent the day relaxing in the apartment which was enjoyable. Off street parking just by the front door was a real plus as were the lovely shared Abbey gardens.

On arrival on a very cold windy day it was lovely to find the apartment cosy and warm. The beds were plenty big enough and comfy. Off-street parking was very welcome as this can be a problem in places like Penzance. Overall this is an excellent let and although not in the main street it is very well positioned to get anywhere, and we look forward to visiting again at some time.

The interior design and the colour scheme of the rooms, the pictures, the great variety of books in the living-room, the spectacular views across Mounts Bay and Penzance Harbour, the beautiful garden and the fact that I had a space for my car. The weekly bunch of flowers and the provisions in the fridge upon my arrival were very kind gestures of hospitality by the Cox family.

First impressions were good, with convenient parking; second and third impressions..well, it just got better and better. It was very comfortable and homely, with lovely views of the harbour and across to St Michael's Mount, and in an excellent position - so convenient for a stroll into town. We had a wonderful week in Penzance; if (when) we return we would very much wish to stay here again.
