Pendeen is a small village resting on the Penwith Peninsula, an Area of Outstanding natural Beauty, in North West Cornwall. The village houses a pub, convenience store, pottery/gallery and a fish and chip shop. Within close reach is a selection of beaches and a handful of walks to explore the Conrish countryside. Within close reach is Penzance and popular St Ives.

First impressions on arrival very poor.the frontage had four bags of rubbish from previous occupiers.the flower pots and steps were full of large weeds. On entering there were dirty mats on the floor and a dirty carpeted staircase. Most flat surfaces,Including the beds headboard were very dusty and had obviously not been cleaned. I didn’t complain at the time as I didn’t want to get into an argument and spoil my family and young grandchildren’s holiday. I complained on my return and Sykes Holidays replied with a cursory response. They didn’t seem to care less.

This cottage is fantastic, it’s really well equipped, beautiful presented and has a homely feel to it. The garden is also lovely and well cared for. The beds were really comfy and the cottage was very well cleaned. Great communication from the owner who was lovely. The neighbours were all very friendly and helpful. The surrounding area is beautiful, we particularly enjoyed the small local beaches where we saw seals and did some crabbing.

Chy Lowena was in a perfect location, spotlessly clean and well equipped.. Extremely comfortable king size bed too! Would definitely book again as we love the area.
