Holiday home
Sundowner is set in a small cluster of stone built barns that surround a central courtyard. Mid distance between Padstow and Wadebridge but within walking distance to the local pub. There are two bedrooms both with en-suites, which sleep a maximum of four adults. The ground floor is open plan with a sitting area with wood burning stove and a well-equipped kitchen with dining area. There is also a utility room / cloakroom. The front of the property has a courtyard whilst the back is patio and lawn with garden furniture including a BBQ. Sundowner is a beautiful property which is comfortable and luxurious and in a lovely position to come back time and time again to explore different areas.

Accomodation Details
Two bedrooms: 1 x double with 5 king and en-suite bathroom, bath, shower over, basin and WC, 1 x twin (with zip & link to 6 super king bed on request) with en-suite shower, basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Utility room with WC. First floor landing with snug area.

Area
Padstow is a working fishing port at the head of the Camel River and it is a great base for exploring Cornwall. The pretty harbour is surrounded by popular restaurants and is one of Cornwall’s iconic foodie destinations. Excellent surfing beaches are on your doorstep as is the popular Camel Cycle Trail.

Cornwall's visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain's premier holiday destinations.

We couldn’t fault Sundowner cottage.. We took some of our own cooking utensils based on previous self catering accommodations but we needn’t have as it was equipped beyond our needs. The cottage felt like staying in a home rather than a holiday cottage & there’s even a lockup / shed full of garden and beach equipment. We wouldn’t hesitate staying here again and felt sorry to return home. It was a really comfortable base from which to explore Cornwall.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two week holiday at Sundowner, St Issey.. The cottage worked really well for our family of four and felt like home by the end of the holiday. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were good and clean. The lounge is comfortable but not quite as clean as the upstairs (the property accepts dogs so I think the dogs hairs are a bit hard to shift). The kitchen is very well equipped and has every utensil you could possibly think of. Could do with some proper oven gloves though! The parking area is very spacious and safe when loading up the car with kids and beach stuff. The location of the property is fantastic to see all the sights and the beautiful beaches. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the property. Thanks!

Perfect location.. Beautiful country countryside views. The property itself is very well thought out & has everything you could need. We were so impressed we've already booked to stay there again in 2019.

We liked the property and location, however it wasn't overly clean, even had to buy own roasting pan (which I annoyingly left behind! ) The utility room hadn't been cleaned for some time! In addition the grass was left fairly long in the garden....when you accept dogs this makes poo picking hard, as we found some that had been left from previous!

We’ve had a fantastic holiday back in Cornwall visiting all our favourite spots.. Sundowner was in the perfect location to do this & was also close to some lovely beaches. It was extremely comfortable in a lovely quiet location. The local farmer was very friendly & humoured our sons love of tractors! It was perfect, thank you Sykes, we can’t fault it, apart from the week went too quick!
