Harlyn is a homely, single-storey cottage located on the edge of Mevagissey in Cornwall. With three bedrooms including two doubles, one with an en-suite bathroom, plus one single, this cottage can sleep five people. There is also a family bathroom, a kitchen, a sitting room as well as a conservatory and a sun room. Outside is off road parking for one car plus an enclosed lawned garden with furniture. Harlyn offers friends and families a cosy base from which to explore this beautiful, varied area of Cornwall.

All ground floor. Three bedrooms: 1 x king-size double with en-suite shower, basin and WC, 1 x double, 1 x single. Shower room with shower, basin and WC. Kitchen. Conservatory with dining area. Sitting room. Sun room.

Area
The perfect Cornish fishing village, with winding cobbled streets and a picturesque harbour full of boats. Stunning walks lead along the coast in both directions, with sandy beaches, high cliffs and hidden coves to explore. The village has an excellent selection of pubs and restaurants, whilst just up the road are the Lost Gardens of Heligan. A ferry from Mevagissey to Fowey also runs daily between Easter and September.

For one the dishwasher was full of dishes and states that you should empty ready .... It was great property for our needs the owner helped me with heavy luggage.. And there to meet me at the property with key on long difficult journey. Also provided a shower seat for one my elderly relatives. He was brilliant. Defiantly recommend to anyone. Lovely garden to.

Mevagissey is a lovely little harbour.. Bit of a steep hill for walkers to get there though especially on the way back, but we managed with a double buggy! The cottage itself is cosy, well kept and has very useful facilities to feel right at home. The electric fire and heated towel rails came in handy for drying our clothes after washing them. All in all a very comfortable visit and a very cosy little cottage to stay in.

We have now stayed at Harlyn twice.. It is a great place to stay with a toddler and a dog as it is spacious, quiet, clean with good facilities and a safe, enclosed garden. It is also in a great location for the nearby beaches and Mevagissey centre. We will definitely be back the next time we're in Cornwall.

I would have stated exceeded expectations however, the biggest downside fo us was the 13 steps or very steep path to the bungalow which was not mentioned on the property brief.. I travelled with my 93 year old, partially sighted, mother and getting to and from the bungalow was a major issue each day. I really think this should be clearly stated. Other than that the accommodation was great, very comfortable and clean and for more mobile people would be great.

We instantly felt at home in this lovely bungalow with its fabulous garden.. The accommodation is huge and worked very well for two couples and two dogs. There was so much room for people to ‘do their own thing’, either in the lounge, sunroom, garden or summerhouse. We had the rear doors open all the time we were at home and the dogs just came and went in and out of the Cornish sunshine as they pleased. Beds were comfy, kitchen had everything you could need, plus lots of comfy seating, books, games etc. Beaches in the area are to die for, especially Crantock Beach. We had a very relaxing week and did not need to drive far to find some lovely places. Can’t recommend enough, thank you

It could have been cleaned better,bedroom wardrobe needed dust wiping off shelves, dust on lampshades, also cobwebs, windows needed cleaning.. Dinning room table is supposed to seat 5 we where struggling to seat 4 when had company, on the up side the beds were comfortable, and the garden was nice but lacked sun loungers, kitchen was on the small side and lacked equipment We thought it was rather expensive for what we got, in comparison to other cottages we have rented.

We had a wonderful holiday.. I loved Harlyn - it was very spacious and the garden was the nicest of any holiday cottage I've stayed in. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and I especially liked the conservatory and sun room. We had a wonderful time exploring nearby beaches such as Caerhays, and there was lots more of interest within an easy driving distance too. We liked it so much that I've just booked a week there again for next year and I am very much looking forward to it.

Absolutely outstanding accommodation, Harlyn was everything we could have wanted and more.. Mevagissey is a very beautiful fishing town, very friendly, and dogs are welcome in most shops and eating places. Many business owners have water bowls outside for dogs to drink from. We and our dog Snoopy were made to feel extremely welcome both In our accommodation and in Mevagissey and the other areas of Cornwall we visited. We are definitely going back next year.

I think people should know that it is a the top of the 1/4 hill, which is hell,of a climb for the fittest of people.. And what would be nice is that there is a pint of milk waiting for you to make a cuppa after a long journey, we have never stayed anywhere that has not been provided

Our 1st time here at Harlyn we were not disappointed, very clean & cosy, enclosed garden for our dog Millie plus good walks around.5minute walk to Mevagissey. The owners who are lovely & next door we broke down on the way here & had to have our car taken home but the owners offered to get or take us for shopping at any time while we are here brilliant. We will definitely be back thank you for a fantastic Xmas.

We have stayed at Harlyn before which was why we chose it again this time.. It's so warm well equipped spacious beautiful garden. Everything you need for a stress free break with lots to see and do in the area. Lost gardens of Heligan 5 minutes away.

Having stopped in mevagissey many times we always enjoy our visits and this time was no different,the Harlyn was what we expected when we walked in which was a little out dated bungalow,it was very warm and spotlessly clean just very dated decore.my only bugbear was that on the amenities list it listed tumble dryer which may seem odd as a need to some but to us having a dog who we bath or rinse down after every walk is something we needed plus it was a winter visit so we also needed to wash and dry our things too,the annoying thing was that on our arrival we checked that we hadn't read it wrong and screen shot the full list of amenities to explain to Syke cottages that it shouldn't be on the list if it's not got one,Sykes told us the dryer had been removed the month before by the owner and it was no longer listed on the amenities to which I pointed out it was showing on our first day !!! Then told the owner had removed it from the listing when we were in the bungalow and told by the owner to use the local laundrette which was very annoying to hear !!!! Apart from that I would recommend the Harlyn,just make sure to screen shoot all listings as I did get some money back

As fantastic holiday let in beautiful Mevagissey. Very clean and comfortable with everything we could need for a weeks stay. The garden was perfect for our dogs, safe & secure. We were very comfortable and the beds were comfy too! The internet worked perfectly which is such a nice change after being told by many other holiday rentals that internet was availiable, only to find it was not! Nice position with good parking. Would not hesitate to book this again.

The cottage was just lovely and comfortable, especially the beds and pillows. This is the first time away on holiday ever that I slept well on the first night, which continued through the rest of the week. Everything that you could wish for was there in the kitchen. It was lovely to return to a warm, spacious, comfortable cottage and just chill out after a 'hard' day enjoying the nearby tourist attractions and beauty spots. I travelled with my parents, husband, niece and a dog. The bungalow was perfect for us - very spacious so we could all have our own space. There was absolutely everything that we needed and it was very clean, with a beautiful garden and easy parking. The only downside was the walk into Mevagissey. it took two of us, who are reasonably fit, 15 minutes at a reasonable pace to get into Mevagissey itself. It is not a very nice walk, down a steep, winding lane where you have to be alert for passing cars. Of course, the return journey is uphill. It would have been impossible for my elderly parents to do it.

The property well in a nice location and we were greeted and shown the property by a very nice lady. Car parking was a bit tight with a large car parked in the adjacent space almost permanently. The bungalow was well maintained and in good condition. Local amenities were within walking distance and only a walk back uphill was tiring.
