Holiday Rental Description

Norda is a light, bright chalet set in a slightly elevated position with some sea views and a lovely deck for sunset-watching. It’s just a short stroll to three miles of golden, sandy beach below, and sits among the sand dunes of Riviere Towans — a great base for easy beach days and unhurried coastal walks.

Perfect for a break by the sea, this charming two-bedroom hideaway features a bright open-plan kitchen / dining area with high ceilings and a separate living space that opens directly onto the deck. From here you can look out across the dunes, linger over outdoor meals and watch the last light fade over St Ives Bay. Try surfing or paddle at the water’s edge, keep an eye out for seals and dolphins, and after dark enjoy big-sky stargazing — the site is surrounded by rolling dunes and sits beside an area of special scientific interest.

Our friendly on-site team is here every day from 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Saturday, and 09:00 to 13:00 on Sundays, to make your holiday as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Plus, for peace of mind, we have a 24-hour out-of-hours number, so you’re never without support during your stay.

The Location
Riviere Towans has been part of Cornwall’s holiday story since the 1920s, when the very first beach chalets were built. Today, it’s a charming mix of quirky, privately owned holiday cottages, chalets, bungalows and lodges, many with breathtaking sea views. Best of all, every property is just a short stroll from the golden sands of Hayle Beach and the sparkling waters of St Ives Bay.

On Your Doorstep
Step outside and you’ll find adventure and relaxation waiting. Wander the coastal path from Hayle Estuary to Godrevy Lighthouse, stopping at beach cafés, seafood shacks and surf spots along the way. Surfing, paddleboarding, bodyboarding, kayaking and even kitesurfing are all on offer within walking distance. Nature lovers can enjoy the RSPB Hayle Estuary Reserve, while families will love Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary, Hayle Lido, and, of course, Cornwall’s famous ice-cream parlours and pasty shops.

Further Afield
A short train ride along the coast takes you to the vibrant harbour town of St Ives, home to Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum. Explore Penzance’s historic streets, Newlyn’s bustling fish market, or head further west to Land’s End and the rugged cliffs of Sennen Cove. For panoramic views, walk up to Knill’s Monument and Steeple Woodland before heading down to Carbis Bay for fine dining and a sheltered swim.

A Year-Round Destination
Cornwall is a timeless favourite with artists, writers and filmmakers — from Poldark to Hollywood blockbusters. Whether you’re after a laid-back beach break, family adventures or a romantic coastal escape, Toms Holidays at Riviere Towans is the ideal base.

Winter Stays
Riviere Towans is just as magical in winter, with bracing walks, cosy pubs and fewer crowds. The winter season runs from 1 November to 1 April (or the week before Good Friday, whichever comes first).
