The rural village of Gunnislake lies within the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and along the River Tamar. Home to the Chimney Rock Trail, the village is popular with walkers and cyclists alike. Gunnislake is also home to a small selection of shops and pubs, including the lovely, country pub of The Rising Sun. The information centre for Tamar Valley AONB isn't far, along with the popular Cotehele house and the sweet Tamar Valley Donkey Park. Visitors wanting to explore the wider area will benefit from venturing to the towns of Callington and Tavistock for days out.
