Area Carbis Bay's white sand is famous, and it's only a short drive from St Ives. The beach feels nearly subtropical with turquoise waves and sheltered circumstances. If sunbathing isn't your style, the beach's Ocean Sports Centre rents kayaks and SUPs. Carbis Bay has a fish & chip shop, a few shops, and a railway branch line. The train ride from Carbis Bay to St Ives is one of the most scenic in the country, and the town has many galleries to visit.
