Booked this through Sykes who only let us know a couple of weeks before our holiday there were builders working next door. Arrived at 4 p.m.but despite being told we could go into the property at 4 p.m. the cleaners were still there who asked us to put chemicals down toilet everyday because it was stained !! ?? 7.40 am Monday drilling and banging. Vans outside blocking the best feature. The sea view. Sykes fobbed us off saying building work out of owners control. Ok I get that but surely its not unreasonable for owner to liase with builders about parking elsewhere. Still loads to do next door so I'm sure others will have their holiday ruined as well. P.S. If the owners read this it could do with some TLC and a deep clean. I cleaned the mugs on the mug tree myself as they made me feel sick looking at them.

As other reviews we were only told 2 weeks prior to arrival that builders were on site - been there 9 months the and will be there for a few more, however they were respectful and noise was minimal. We arrived Saturday 21st July 2024 and left on Wednesday 24th July 2024 - even though we were booked on for the whole week. The place is Damp, the smell became unbearable, especially in the “ middle twin room” that has windows sealed and the bathroom.l was no better. We opened the cupboard in the middle room looking for a dustpan and the smell was putrid and everything was damp. The sofa in the lounge is ridiculously uncomfortable- again mentioned before in reviews and has not been changed, even though the cost would be minimal. Overall bringing two young children home early from a summer holiday is heartbreaking. Won’t be going back.
