Gorgeous old cottage full of character. Loved the pastries that were left for us..had everything you needed for a comfy stay.. Kitchen fully equipped with a dishwasher and washing machine... Beds were super comfy and the walk in shower was amazing.. Garden wasnt connected to cottage but a few steps up to it... Took my little dog up the lane every time he needed to go out... Loved the log fire in the evenings with logs supplied... A fantastic stay ..

Lovely cottage - almost 400 years old but with all the modern amenities you would need. Based in a great location with supermarket, shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants all within a short walk. No parking on site but a free car park a short walk away. Clean and comfortable. The owner couldn’t be more helpful. Would stay here again. Highly recommended. Lostwithiel is a lovely little town and perfectly located to visit many places within a short drive.

The cottage was perfect for my family re Location/Facilities.. Great communication with the owner , there was no car parking on site but this was not an issue. Plenty of off street parking. Local residents were very friendly and sociable. Great experience. Highly recommended.

Lovely little cottage in a nice area.. The kitchen is well equipped. Free parking by the river was unexpected and is great. Recommend Nelly's pasty shop! All communication with the host was easy, with check in via a key safe.

We've stayed in a lot of UK cottages and this is one of the best.. Its a lovely cosy cottage with everything you need. Only one suggestion... A clothes airer or washing line would really be helpful. The cottage is in a perfect location for exploring all of Cornwall and the town of Lostwithiel has some lovely little shops including a bakers, butchers, CO-OP, Chinese takeaway and cafés. The Globe pub is one of the friendliest we've been too. Lots of walks on your doorstep. Wish we couldve stayed longer

This charming cottage has everything required for modern day living whilst still retaining its historic character.. The owner has gone to great lengths to ensure our comfort and also providing useful information to help us get the best from our holiday. Cream tea on arrival was very welcoming.

The owner/caretaker was very friendly and obliging and left us a welcome note and some scones with clotted cream - delicious! I would have liked direct access to the garden for our dog; however, this was a small inconvenience and the high standard of the cottage made up for it. I would have no hesitation in recommending the property to others. Lostwithiel is an interesting and attractive town and everyone was very friendly. Access to other towns is easy by train (the station is a 10 minute walk from the cottage) so having a car is not essential.

13 Castle Hill is a perfect - and cosy - base for exploring eastern Cornwall by rail and on foot - for instance, Fowey, Polruan, Looe, Lanhydrock, Restormel, St Winnow and the Duchy Nursery.. And Lostwithiel itself is a very attractive little town.

We knew that parking would be difficult but people should be aware that, certainly in our case, we couldn't even unload our luggage at the cottage as the neighbour had a car and a large van.. Fortunately it was dry so it wasn't too much of a problem. During our stay we parked at the Quay about 5 minutes walk which was fine. However, more important, the cottage was absolutely great with excellent facilities.

Great cottage in good location.. Handy for pubs, restaurants and shops. Lostwithiel is a really nice place to be. We have only ever driven through it before and didn't realize how picturesque it is down by the river. Good pubs, restaurants and a very good Co-op supermarket.

An excellent central base to explore this area of Cornwall.. Lostwithiel itself is a superb place, especially good for river picnics when the weather is good, watching the local children playing in the river, quintessential England. Highly recommend.

This is a lovely cottage very conveniently situated within the delightful town of Lostwithiel.. It is very comfortable has everything needed for a great holiday base in Cornwall. The added extras make it special, cream tea on arrival and hedgerow flowers on the table. Have stayed there three times now and will definately be going back.

Only put 'no' to would we rebook this cottage as we have been there and done it, we would book another location.. Property owners left us cream tea to welcome us and everything was more than satisfactory.

Cream tea waiting for us on arrival was a lovely surprise and set the tone for the holiday.. The cottage was very comfortable and well-equipped. Our only negative feedback would be that the road going close by the cottage (A390) was much busier and therefore noisier than we expected. Traffic seemed heavy in the early hours of the morning in the front bedroom, which tended to wake us up! Other than that, we had a lovely stay and really enjoyed the cottage and surrounding area.
