October 2019
We had an excellent stay in this homely, comfortable cottage.. Kitchen, beds and bathrooms were immaculate and well equipped. The enclosed rear garden and safe stairs were appreciated as were the fairy doors with two boys under 5 yrs. Great location for trips out. Owners were friendly and the welcome pack a nice touch. Thank you, would definitely book this again.

Ysgybor Yd has to be one of the best kept secrets we have have ever uncovered.. It is an extremely clean and well thought out cottage with some great touches from the hosts. the arrival package was most welcome and really appreciated after a long drive. It is spacious and very deceptive with it looking quite compact from the outside - it is not! The master bedroom is one of the largest we have stayed in and having two bathrooms is great when travelling as a group or family. The hosts are attentive without being intrusive, thank you for a great stay, we wouldnt hesitate to recommend Ysgybor Yd

We had a fantastic week staying here.. The house is even more lovely than it looks in the photos, and very spacious too the main bedroom is enormous. It's beautifully maintained and so clean it seems brand new. We stayed with a toddler and the owners were great at providing everything we needed for him. The garden is perfect for children, spacious but enclosed. Our son loved seeing the sheep every day opposite the barn. So much to do in the area, a brilliant place for a family holiday.

What a lovely cottage in a lovely spot. All North Wales to explore but Criccieth on your doorstep, why go anywhere else? The cottage is so beautiful with original 'grain store' features retained, but still has all the modern facilities you could want. The owners are so welcoming and provide loads of things I took, like tea, coffee, salt, pepper etc etc. Thanks Mr and Mrs Widdicombe for a great week.
Mrs Wood
July 2018
A beautiful cottage in a wonderful location.. The cottage had everything you could need and more, for example an unexpected welcome pack with bread, milk, coffee, tea, butter, Welsh cakes ad wine. The owners even provided items such as salt, pepper, washing up liquid and cloths and lots of other little items that you usually have to remember to take with you. A perfect base to visit North Wales, or simply sit on the patio with a glass of wine and admire the sea view.

The property was immaculate, extremely clean and well presented. The owners were very friendly and were great hosts. The cottage is in between the coastal resorts of Criccieth, 3 miles away and Pwllheli, 6 miles away. It's ideally situated if you just want to get away from the noise of towns and cities. We will return to this property for sure, 10/10. A big thanks to the owners for making our stay relaxing.

The barn was in a great location within easy travelling distance of lots of walking areas, beaches, towns, tourist attractions and Snowdonia National Park. It was immaculately clean and very well equipped. On a cold day the house is very cosy, on a good day the garden is sheltered and warm.

We stayed here with our two young children for a week in June. The cottage is a lovingly converted farm outbuilding that has plenty of character, a homely feel and is very well maintained. The garden was perfect for our toddlers to run off steam and we enjoyed a BBQ and meals outside on the decking. Location-wize it was an ideal base being close to Criccieth and c. 30 mins from Caernarfon, Abersoch and Harlech. Tthe owner was friendly and hospitable to us. There is a pub about a mile away in Chwilog that has a beer garden and a great play area for kids, the nearby Rabbit Farm is also a must visit. We had a great week.
Mrs Rees
May 2015
The cottage was quirky and had lots of hiding palaces for a 3 year old, the shower was perfect for washing sand off a 3 year old, and the garden had space for a 3 year old - our 3 year old grandson loved it, so did we!

Absolutely loved the stay. The Cottage is right in the heart of nature with views of mountains on one side and views of sea on the other. Mr & Mrs Widdicombe are great hosts as they were kind enough to be awake till 1 am to welcome us. The cottage is about 20 mins driving distance from all the nearest attractions.
