Lovely cottage, beautiful views.Lady owner welcomed us with home made Bara Brith which was lovely thought. She lived in adjoining cottage but we didn't see her all week. Great area to stay for access to visiting places. No shops on door step but near enough in car. Water could be extremely hot & perhaps temp ought to be reduced.

Fantastic cottage, located on a sheep farm run by a friendly and helpful family.. The cottage has everything that you could want, rooms spacious with comfortable beds. Good quality shower in the bathroom, and all the appliances you need in the kitchen. Decent TV in the lounge, great views from every window. Nice outside seating areas from which to take in the stunning mountain scenery. Excellent location for popular tourist attractions such as Snowdonia, Beddgelert, Betws-y-Coed, Criccieth, Porthmadoc, Barmouth etc. Many castles are also close by. On a clear night you get an excellent view of the night sky and if you're lucky you may see the milky way and a few od the planets in our solar system. You can either eat in, or just a couple if miles down the road is an excellent pub restaurant called The Goat (Tafern Y Afr) where we had many excellent meals at a reasonable price.

It is a very scenic cottage with lushes of green and mountains all around.. However, the living area carpet could be refurbished. The furniture could be changed to be more comfortable with some recline options. The throw on the furniture looked a bit dirty and they need not be put on the sofa as it wasn't welcoming. The kitchen had everything we needed except for some big utensils. The bedroom cupboards hardly had any shelves for storage. It had the hangers though. However, this cottage is very ideal for a small family of 4 and for a romantic getaway for couples. The house had heaters and it kept us warm all the time. There were enough log provided by the landlord which spared us for the whole holiday. The landlord was very hospitable welcoming us with a freshly baked home made cake. The laundry facilities were easily accessible. There was enough storage to store the bikes etc in the garage next to the cottage. Couple of times, our privacy got interrupted by the landlord doing gardening at the front of the house making some noise in the morning. The landlord's dog was let loose once (Farm house) and that was an invasion of privacy for me as an individual. I would recommend this cottage definitely for a peaceful serene holiday makers who would like to see both sunrise and sunset from their abode as the house faces East at the front and West at the backyard. We had a lovely holiday except for a few improvements to recommend.

The farmhouse itself was lovely, comfortable and full of original character.. Mrs. Watkins was welcoming and helpful without being intrusive. She had provided a home made bara brith cake for our arrival. Everything that we needed was provided and it was useful to be able to wash and dry clothes, with the Welsh weather soaking us a couple of times! Perhaps the main thing that will stay in our memories, however are the fantastic, long ranging views from every window in the house of the mountains and Cwm Pennant valley. A stay here is strongly recommended!

Had a fantastic week at Ymwlch Bach Farmhouse.. Amazing views all around. Great walks nearby.and the beach at Black rock sands Cottage is ok but in need of a good deep clean all around the property especially the carpets. Stayed with 4 adults an 2 young children but would be a squeeze if 6 adults stayed.not enough lounge seating for 6 people. Decor of the the house could do with an update. That said the kitchen was very well equipped & lady host was very pleasant & helpful. Great fire at night when it got a bit chilly. Lovely having a morning coffee just sat looking at those views as well.

A lovely, cosy farmhouse with incredible views of the mountains.. Great location for NW Wales. We loved the home made cake on arrival, the open fire and the comfy beds. The kids loved it too.

We had everything we needed and more.. The kitchen was well stocked and had the extra things we needed like a cot and highchair. We even had mini Easter eggs left for us on the kitchen table and a cake. Nothing was no trouble, we washed out one of our sons blankets and put it on the line to dry during the day, while we were out it was raining and the owner got the blanket in and dry it out and gave it to us that night. This was amazing and very helpful. There was a lot of space for our two young boys to play in and outside as well. We all loved our break away.

This property was amazing.. .. Mrs Watkins is an absolute gem and made sure that everything in her cottage was perfect and that i was taken care of. As a solo female traveler, i could not ask for more. She baked a cake for my arrival and it was such a nice touch. I look forward to staying here many more times as the views from every room were simply stunning! It was also nice to have a cup of tea in the morning with my host so that i could learn a little more about the area and places to go.

We have just returned from a lovely stay in Ymwlch Bach Farmhouse with 2 adults and 4 children.. The house is clean, comfortable and well equipped and the home baked cake on arrival was much appreciated. The location is ideal with great views of the mountains, only 20-30 minutes drive from the beach at Black Rock Sands, ZipWorld Bounce Below, cycle hire in the forest at Beddgelert bikes and canyoning "Adventures with Bob" at Llyn Gwynant - all highly recommended by the teenagers! Many thanks to Mrs Watkins for promptly posting back some clothes we left behind!

Perfect location for exploring the beautiful places in North Wales.. Beautiful views. A little further from Criccieth than we had expected therefore a car is essential. I do not believe this property should be advertised as in Criccieth as it clearly is not. The lounge area in the property was very dusty and in need of a thorough clean, the rest of the property was acceptable. Sufficient space for six adults although an extra bathroom would be beneficial.

Lovely place.. Nice and warm. Mrs Watkins was very welcoming and friendly. The only one thing I would have liked to know about was that there was a £2 charge for the washing machine and the same for the drier for each load. We have 3 very active children and hence a lot of washing. If we had known I would have brought more clothes from home or might have considered looking for alternative accommodation.

The property sleeps 6 but only 5 can sit in the living room comfortably (3 seater and 2 seater sofa).. The property is probably more suited for people with younger children (we had 2 adults, 2 x 15, 13 and 11) The bedrooms were nice but we had to use the spare blankets from the cupboards to cover the curtains as they did not block out the morning light. Each room had an electric, oil filled radiator so we were never cold. Lots and lots of hot water. Lovely location but you do need to drive to everything so bring in your own supplies. The ad clearly says that you share the farmhouse with the owner but the division does feel slightly uncomfortable as there are 3 locked doors that lead into the owners part of the property. The main bedroom with the double and single is directly above the owners living room. All in all it was nice but we need a larger property for our size family.

We had a lovely welcome by Mrs Watkins and enjoyed the cake and fruit she gave us.. The house was spacious and comfortable for us and our two young children and very cosy with the open fire. We had everything we needed in the house and it is close to the shops in Porthmadog. It is a good location for exploring North Wales and we had a great week doing just that.

I booked to go with my 3 grand children ages 17,15 & 9. It is a lovely peaceful location & safe, we had a fun packed week visiting Snowden, Zip Wire, Bounce Below, Portmeirion, Black Rock Sands, Porthmadoc, Caernavon, Llanfair P.G, & Beaumaris. The children are already planning a return trip and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The location is perfect as it is within driving distance of most if not all of the main Snowdonia attractions. The owner Mrs Watkins is a perfect host and you wouldn't have known she was next door, but on hand for advice when needed, also bakes a lovely Bara Brith which was very welcome. Would recommend a stay and would definetly return.

The location is perfect for travelling in around Snowdonia, and the property is in a safe quiet area. The property had all the mod cons yet still retained the natural beauty of an old farmhouse. Would recommend a stay and are looking to return.

We had a lovely stay at Ymwlch Bach. We enjoyed the wonderful views and it was very easy to get to both Criccieth and Porthmadog. Our children particularly enjoyed running around in the garden and seeing all of the sheep in the surrounding fields.

We had a lovely week here with our two small children. Lovely views in all directions, a little garden for the kids to run around in, enough space inside for us, and very easy to get down to the coast at Criccieth or Porthmadog, or into Snowdonia. I don't think I would recommend it for more than 4 adults though - the sitting room and one small bathroom would be a real squeeze for that many.

We had a really nice stay here. The landlady - who lives in the adjoining but completely separate part of the house - had baked us a cake on arrival. The views are tremendous and the accommodation offers a great base for exploring North Wales.
