Y Stabal is a wonderful semi-detached barn conversion, one of two in a small courtyard position, three miles from Criccieth and can sleep four people. There is a double bedroom, a 2’ 6” twin bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with an electric fire. Outside there is off road parking for two cars and an enclosed rear lawned garden with a decked area, furniture and a barbecue. Y Stabal is an ideal holiday base.

Area
Often referred to as one of Wales's hidden gems, the seaside town of Criccieth is just five miles from picturesque Porthmadog. With an impressive 13th century castle set on a dramatic rocky outcrop, the town possesses an imposing skyline and superb views of Tremadog Bay and the Snowdonia mountains.

Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

Andrea, our host was excellent.. In this difficult time with Covid-19 we were very pleased with the set up of the the cottage and found it to be extremely clean. The cottage itself had everything we needed and more. It was very tastefully decorated and felt very cosy. We were able to book a supermarket delivery but to our surprise, when we arrived we were greeted with the main essentials already provided. The cottage is set in a beautiful location with stunning views. Would highly recommend it - in fact we are going to try and book again next year!

Fantastic, well equipped cottage in a lovely setting.. Handily located for access to a wide range of attractions and locations across this beautiful part of Wales. Owners have gone to considerable lengths to make everyone feel safe in these difficult COVID-19 times.

Perfect position for travelling all over the Llyn Peninsula.. The views from the windows especially the bedroom of the sea were amazing and the pictures on the website don’t do it justice. We could see snowdon from the kitchen window! This holiday home was so well equipped, nothing was forgotten. The owners were very kind, on site if needed but not intrusive.

Really nice cottage and very peaceful- the wine,milk,bread and marmalade plus other bits including Welsh cakes was a nice surprise.. The place is clean and comfortable a really nice place for visiting the local area or just to get away from it all.

Stunning barn conversion.. Immaculate. Clean. Awesome views and location. Have recommended it to lots of people. Really high quality furnishings and sympathetic to original features. Attention to detail was great - all of those bits and bobs you don't need to take when going away are already provided. Fabulous place.

Y Stabal is one of the best holiday cottages that we have been to.. Extremely friendly hosts who are on hand should you have any questions or problems. If anything the advertising undersells it.( particularly the view from the property ) The cottage has everything you could possibly wish for to have a very comfortable holiday, coupled with an excellent welcome pack which included so much more than the usual bread and milk. The location is perfect for seeing this very scenic area. Altogether a perfect holiday retreat.

Just returned from 7 days at this wonderful property, with spectacular views over surrounding countryside and sea. Family holiday with my husband and two kids aged 10 and 13. Cottage been lovingly renovated to very high standard - exceptionally clean and very comfortable. We were blessed with fabulous weather so enjoyed beach both at Criccieth and abersoch. Cottage centrally located so excellent for exploring area. Thank you to owners Andrea and Colin who made us very welcome. We will definitely be returning!

We have just returned from a weekend away at Y Stabl and already miss this beautiful cottage. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by owners Andrea and Colin who were so friendly and hospitable. The welcome package of tea, coffee, milk, welshcakes,bread and butter plus wine was very much appreciated after a long journey with young children. This gorgeous cottage has been lovingly renovated with excellent sized rooms. The living room is large and cosy and the kitchen diner clean and bright. Our 8 year old son loved his twin bedroom with tv and our master bedroom looked out to sea. Our baby daughter was tucked beautifully into a corner of our room in her own cot. The decor throughout is gorgeous and we loved the attention to detail and furnishings. We felt totally relaxed even with a toddler as all precious items were out iof reach. The garden is a massive plus for a young family as it is very secure with grass, decking and a seating area. We were extremely lucky to have had a rare mini heat wave so the garden was like an extra dining room and living space as the children played happily and safely. We are already planning another visit with family as the cottage next door sleeps 6. Set in a beautiful location by the sea and a short drive to Criccieth and Porthmadog with lots to do for all ages.
