Stunning little cottage tucked away in the hills but in close proximity by car to Dinas Dinelle beach. There was a little shop in the village for essentials. The facilities are great and the bed was really comfy there is also a great selection of DVD’s and a projector above the huge open fire as well as a tv in the snug. It also has a fully enclosed garden which was perfect for our dogs. Highly recommend this unique little spot

Beautiful little cottage, perfect for 2 people, you could fit 2 extra at a squeeze but you'd need to used the uncomfortable day bed in the snug which I wouldn't recommend. It would of been our perfect break 15 years ago when we'd been out walking and exploring and just needed a base, however nowadays we prefer a little more comfort and a little more space for the dogs( personal preference) as we spend a bit longer at the cottage than we would of years ago. Not the cleanest of places I've stayed but only small detail ( plughole in the bath was filthy and trays in oven were left dirty ) cushions had dog hair on but that didnt bother us because we have dogs, may bother others. Not very private, the road it sits on seemed like a main route, within the first 30 mins we'd seen 6 wagons and 4 buses it was extremely busy, however I'm assuming it was a diversion as we didn't see anything like that amount of traffic again during our stay. A bit of privacy film on the bottom of the bathroom window would go down perfect, you can see into bathroom from footpath so we had blind permanently closed, it didn't fully reach the bottom of the window so when the man came to change the gas bottles, unannounced, I could see him from the loo, very uncomfortable, I'm hoping he was to busy to be looking through gaps in windows! A blind on the living room sky light and a pole to be able to open it when cooking would be a great addition as there's a projector , which out of novelty we were dying to watch a film on but we couldn't see the picture because of how lucky we'd been with the weather, meant it was still light at 10pm so the room was too bright, plus when cooking there was nowhere for the smells to go. Stairs are an offset paddle design like on a boat and very steep ( my picture makes them look much steeper than they were, they're not vertical! but they are not ideal, but I know this isn't something that would be changed, however, it migt be an idea to have a pic included with the cottage advert. Garden was enclosed on a couple of levels and was well kept. I just had to move the bin to the corner to stop one of my dogs from "exploring" further. Lovely little footpath at the back of the property, perfect for dogs morning stroll. Lacked recycling bins which I found really strange. It felt bizarre putting all our rubbish into the same bin. All in all it was beautiful, just not what we'd expected or planned for. We think there was a camp date adjacent, as you could see a tent directly next door, but also the top of tipi tent at the back, we didn't hear anything from them other than their Cockerell, however during peak season it might be something to keep in mind. There was a fox in the garden one night when we were letting the dogs out, luckily there's an outside tap for washing the fox poo off the dogs! Lol!
