Warm, friendly welcome.. A perfect escape in these difficult times. Lovely secure garden for my dog as well.

Away from traffic in wonderful countryside.. There were very small roads, very sharp bends a lot of potholes, but they all made it part of a lovely holiday.

The only negative points to an otherwise perfect holiday were a slow internet connection <1mbps and poor tv reception (lots of missing channel including itv, channel 4, channel 5 etc)..

This the cleanest holiday cottage we have ever stayed in - thanks to Mary.. We took our daughter, son-in-law and toddler granddaughter with us and the house worked well. They were able to have the upstairs, with two bedrooms and a shower room, whilst we had a downstairs bedroom and bathroom. The house had everything we needed and was convenient for getting to places. The coast is only an hour's drive away and there are lots of interesting small towns and villages within reasonable distance. In a year that has had its difficulties, and not just with Covid-19, it was so nice to be able to spend time in the peace of the Lincollnshire countryside.

We had a lovely week at Woodland View.. Mary, the host, was very helpful and welcoming, happy to answer any questions. The cottage was clean and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen. We had plenty of space for 5 of us spanning 3 generations, and spent much of our time in the common space, reading, cooking, playing games or enjoying the garden space. Pretty countryside all around, great for running or walks. Our only gripe was the occasionally patchy internet, not at all Mary’s fault - no broadband in the area. But we had enough access to manage. In short, a lovely, cozy, relaxing spot.

Have just left this property after spending a week here with my family and two doggies and I can honestly say we could not of asked for any more.. The property was spotless on arrival, the convenience of having the between area is perfect for taking your shoes off and sorting out the dogs so you don’t take any unnecessary mess into the property. The garden is very spacious and well kept and the three bedrooms have more then enough room in them for the stay. The kitchen is well stocked, including eggs, milk and a beautiful cake on arrival and Mary is more then helpful If you should require anything on your stay and the weather was glorious too! Would highly recommend and really hope we get to come back again soon.

The cottage was absolutely lovely, it had plenty of room for all of us and a dog, the garden was well dog proofed so we were able to spend lots of time relaxing outside.. The kitchen was well equipped which made cooking really easy. The cottage is located in a beautiful area and we enjoyed walks along local public footpaths as well as exploring some nearby woods. It's also less than an hour from the coast, so we were able to do some beach trips as well. A lovely place for a quiet holiday, thoroughly recommended.

We stayed at Woodland View as a last minute stay for 4 nights following lockdown.. The area is very rural and peaceful and was perfect for what we wanted. The garden was a good size and very dog proof. The cottage was immaculate on arrival and very spacious for 5 adults and a dog. There was even a lemon drizzle cake left by the owner which was lovely and much appreciated. Wragby has a well stocked Co-op and the butchers did nice cobs. The coast was about 40 minutes drive and Lincoln is worth a visit, the Park and Ride was handy. There are lots of lovely villages in the area to visit so the location for this was good too. Would return to this cottage again.

This is an lovely holiday cottage and has everything you need.. The area between the house and garage is ideal for wet clothes and boots and for drying dogs! The garden is totally secure for dogs which was an enormous bonus. Mary lives next door but does not bother you unless you have a query. We would definitely stay here again. The Lincolnshire Wolds are beautiful with lots of lovely walks.

Just spent 4 nights at Woodland View with my Mum, Daughter and 2 dogs.. What a lovely place to stay. Nestled in farmland with far reaching views across the fields, a myriad of footpaths to explore yet only 8 mins drive to Wragby with a well stocked Co-op. The property itself was very clean and with plenty of crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils. The open kitchen/lounge area was cosy and sociable. The double bedroom downstairs was spacious and looked out onto the garden. Both twin rooms upstairs were lovely and a decent size and the upstairs shower room was a bonus - the shower is a little cosy but there is a bigger one in the family bathroom downstairs. The separate dining room was useful when relatives came for lunch. With 2 dogs, I loved the enclosed area bridging the property and its garage - really useful for storing muddy boots and drying paws! There is also a utility room at the rear of the garage. We all appreciated the homemade cupcakes on arrival! There was a handy box of information on things to do - can recommend Chambers Farm Wood. All in all, I would thoroughly recommend this property and will definitely return. Frankly I’d like to live there!

The house is clean and tidy but in our opinion not comfortable. Both shower cubicles are small corner ones and there is one leather sofa. It’s certainly not a lazy day sort of property. The garden is smaller than the photographs we saw suggested. And the landscape is bleak. It is not the wolds and although one can walk from the door the countryside is flat and uninteresting. We had real problems finding somewhere good to eat. The information in the property is a bit slapdash and in our opinion needs sorting and putting in some sort of order to make it easy for guests to assimilate. And every property should have the telephone number of the local G.P and vets readily available. Our first Sykes disappointment.

Fantastic holiday the cottage was extremely well presented, spacious, exceptionally clean, a joy to stay in such a home.. The garden was dog friendly and you were able to relax knowing dogs were safe and secure. The owner was a lovely lady and made our stay very special, on arrival she came to say hello and also had made us a lovely home baked cake. Everything you need and we would highly recommend this cottage. It was so relaxing and ideal for a complete chill out. Perfect, in fact very reluctant to leave. Anne, Laura, Misty and Lotti dog. Thank you Mary.

If you are looking for quite, relaxation and great country walks this is the place for you.. We enjoyed the location and the remoteness of the bungalow. Saying that it was only 30 mins into Lincoln and the local villages and pubs were welcoming and friendly. Being pet friendly was an advantage and the vestibule between the hose and the garage was extremely useful to clean the dogs down before letting them back into the house. The bungalow itself was cosy and had plenty of space. Only downside was that the upstairs shower unit could do with being larger, everything else was perfect.

Although described as a cottage this is a modern refurbished semi.. This is good. No dark corners no bits and bobs and ornaments!! Very clean and furnishings, beds etc very new. Showers ,bathrooms fairly newly done. I ended up staying on my own but felt secure. Garden is completely fenced in for dogs so ignore any previous reviews. It also has a massive covered entrance area ideal for cleaning, drying dirty dogs off.

Everything was perfect for us.. We are a family of 5 (ages 3 - 70 yrs) and we all had a thoroughly good time. The cottage was better than we expected. It was immaculate and had everything in it that we needed. Everything worked. The owner is a really nice person, was most welcoming and was prepared to help with anything at all. Woodland View is in a very quiet spot, which is exactly what we wanted. There is every likelihood that we will return again next year.

Woodland View was spotlessly clean, well appointed and in a very peaceful setting in rural Lincolnshire. The cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Our two dogs were made very welcome and enjoyed having the run of the back garden - which was totally secure. Our main purpose for staying here was as a base to visit family but we also managed to visit some of the many National Trust properties in the area. There was so much to do that we couldn't fit it all into this stay. Would definitely stay at Woodland View again.

My wife and I recently spent a week in this beautiful cottage with its own large private garden and situated in a rural location.. The cottage fully lived up to its description - it was well furnished, well decorated and finished to an extremely high standard. The kitchen was very well equipped with every cooking utensil you could possibly need. There was also secure bike storage which was an added bonus. We would definitely recommend this cottage to friendsand family. Lincolnshire is a lovely county with plenty to see and do. We had a lovely week and look forward to a return visit some time in the future. A real home from home.

Woodland View was very comfortable and clean.. Mrs Hoban the owner was very pleasant and helpful. It was central for visiting lots of different parts of Lincolnshire. We live near the Wash in the fens and it was good to see this different area. The lovely city of Lincoln is very near and lots of scenic villages. We like looking round different farmshops and found plenty and we also drove to Grimsby to the fish docks - lots of heritage to see there and we bought some lovely smoked haddock for a very reasonable price.

Lovely cottage with a very well equipped kitchen and a great garden. Lots of wildlife around including rabbits and pheasants in the garden, kestrels and buzzards in the field to the side and barn owls in the barn opposite.

August 2016
A well equipped holiday home in a very rural location but close enough to all locations of interest.. There was an abundance of wildlife in the back garden from rabbits to owls, which kept us all amused and made this hoiiday unique. The home's owner, Mary, was very friendly and welcoming.
Mrs Kerr, August 2016
August 2016
Although the details stated the property was enclosed but not dog secure.. We found it didn't have a gate to the side of the property and only an open hedge along the roadside of the property. We therefore found the wording "enclosed" to be very misleading. This meant we could not let our dog out to run in the garden and had to be kept on a lead all the time.

The cottage felt light, warm and spacious and the stove gave it an extra cosiness. We loved having two bathrooms. The kitchen and utility room were well laid out. We spent a week in this property, and were very happy with every aspect. It is spotlessly clean, really well equipped and very comfortable. It is modern, bright and airy, with lovely views of the garden and the surrounding countryside. Although available to dog owners, there was no trace of previous dog occupants (as is so often the case - a problem for me as I have allergies, but do have non shedding dogs). The walks in the surrounding fields are a delight...just open countryside, wide open skies.... a wonderfully relaxing place. Can highly recommend.
