My daughter is a wheelchair user and Woodland cottage was perfect for her, the disabled facilities were as described.. The only thing I would change is to have shower chair rather than a stool. Ian and Vicki are wonderful hosts and make you feel very welcome. Ian cooked us a lovely curry that we requested and Vicki's massages are just divine, I'd go back just for that, Vicki also gave my daughter a massage and done everything possible to make her comfortable. Our little dog also loved it there. We can't wait to go back. We felt very comfortable in a beautiful location.

The cottage was beyond our expectations.. I was superbly fitted out, very clean and well equipped. Its location was in every aspect excellent and we both enjoyed our stay at it. The owners provided an excellent service and went beyond what is usually provided. All in all we had a very satisfactory weeks stay there and are very likely to return in the future.

Lovely holiday cottage in a countryside setting, within walking distance to Jackson coppice and also a field and marsh where dogs can be walked.. Only down side to cottage is it is requested after booking that dogs not be left unattended in cottage, which is problematic if you are unable to take them on your day or evening out. We found the locals to be very friendly and also informative for places to visit and eat out.

Woodland cottage truly is a hidden haven, tucked away it is a beautiful and peaceful location.. Really nice touch from Vicki and Ian the owners was to have homemade apple juice and cake waiting for us on arrival but nicer still was the birthday cake they made for me on finding out it was my birthday. Weather wasn’t great didn’t matter the tranquility more than made up for that.

This was a great holiday, on arrival there was a bottle of freshly pressed apple juice & a plate of home made flapjacks.. Ian & Victoria were very friendly and had some good recommendations for days out places to eat, The Star & The Old Smithy are excellent. The cottage was lovely, very clean, well appointed and it was a brilliant relaxing holiday.

Ian and Victoria were fantastic hosts.. My husband is disabled and, whilst the cottage was already designed for the disabled a couple of items, grab rails in the bathroom and a small ramp for the patio doors, were needed and immediately supplied. On arrival we were greeted warmly, supplied with lovely homemade lemon drizzle cake and apple juice. During our stay we had two meals in and can only state that Ian is a first class chef. A lot of the ingredients for the meals came from his own garden, of which he is justifiably proud. My daughter and I treated ourselves to a pampering session with Victoria and my husband had a reflexology session on his hand and feet. All of which we thoroughly enjoyed, Victoria is very good at what she does. The whole ambience of this cottage is restful, the grounds surrounding it are lovely and peaceful. We cannot recommend it highly enough and hope very much to be able to holiday there again

This cottage is truly outstanding.. The location is perfect in a beautiful quiet tranquil setting. The owners are very accommodating. When we arrived there was homemade apple juice cakes and hotcross buns which were perfect and tasted beautiful. The cottage is so warm and has everything you need. The views are just amazing. There is so much to do with the kids in surrounding areas (about half hour drive ) trentham monkey forest., waterworld and Gladstone pottery museum are fab days outl There are also lots of good eating places around. The one thing that truly made my holiday was a facial and massage from Vicki the owner of the property. They live next to the cottage and run the b&b. It was truly the best facial I have ever had I felt amazing Vicki is so lovely i highly recommend taking time out to do this. All in all this is the best cottage we have stayed in you won't be disappointed at all. We can't wait to go back.
