Wishing Well Cottage description

Holiday home
Situated in the hamlet of Penhallow and just two and a half miles from Perranporth is this charming detached cottage. Area
Between Newquay and Redruth is the delightful hamlet of Penhallow. Situated on a coast road, this charming village is set amidst rolling countryside, flower-filled hedges, quiet country pubs, majestic coastal scenery, great beaches and a wealth of visitor attractions. Visitors to this popular holiday destination can enjoy the shops of beautiful Truro or wander the coastal paths of Perranporth beach. The region is full of excellent walks through the varied landscapes – beaches, rolling hills and lush forests – and provides some of the nation's best surfing beaches. Nearby is a wonderful cider farm which welcomes visitors, as well as Newquay Zoo, the Eden Project and the National Maritime Museum at Falmouth. With so much within a 40-minute radius, it's little wonder that this area of sunny Cornwall is so popular.

Wonderful cottage in a great location.. Garden was safe and brilliant for our 2 dogs to run around in. Weather was disappointing but as we were well positioned for Truro, Redruth and Falmouth we made the most of visiting the local towns. Nearby Perranporth & Newquay beaches were lovely with plenty of shops and places for shopping. Facilities in the cottage were excellent and we made good use of the kitchen for cooking. Will be great when WiFi is available although it’s not a major problem. Definitely worth staying at this lovely cottage.

The addition of WiFi would make a big difference to find local attractions and amenities..

Photo's on website give another impression then what you find when you arrive.. There are often dogs in the cottage and you can smell that. The matras in the double bedroom was in a bad condition, the owner changed that on our request the next day after we arrived. We don't think this is a 3 star locatie.

Wishing well cottage is an ideal cottage for a base to explore Cornwall as we did.. ..Rural and quiet location ( residual traffic noise at times from the main road). Could benefit from Wifi....

The cottage we stayed in was exactly as the photos portrayed.. It was clean, immaculate and the garden was fully enclosed and safe for our dogs as suggested. The accommodation was roomy for 2 adults and 1 child and we would not hesitate in recommending this cottage. Nice little touches on arrival such as biscuits for our dogs, scones & jam for us and even some fresh milk in the fridge. Ideal location for two attractions we visited and close to the vast beach at Perranporth.

Only downside to this property is its location next to the main road. Side of garden overlooks a3075 which can get very busy but it does give you a quick access to the main roads when you want to get out and about. If you can put up with the road noise, which is only really noticeable in the garden, everything else about the property is brilliant. Good welcome pack on arrival and the property was spotless, well equipped and spacious. Pub down the road has a large beer garden and good food with numerous other pubs in the area. Tv reception was dodgy but that is true for a lot of Cornwall. Cider farm is within staggering distance, apart from a short stretch of the a3075. Would like to stay there again but we consider the price for 2012 to be excessive.

It was very well situated for places we wanted to visit. A nice place to be if the weather was not too good. It's nice and safe for our two small dogs. We received a nice welcome from the owner. Overall very good.

The location was within easy reach of most of Cornwall, not far from the beach and the pub couldn't be closer, not even a minutes walk! (and it allowed dogs)

We have been to many places over the years with and without our dogs, but we have to say that NONE matched the excellence that was apparent in Wishing Well cottage. The owners are really hospitable and think of everything, truly home from home. Cannot praise it enough.

A warm cosy cottage for a winter holiday with a safe, enclosed garden for children and dogs. Convenient for day trips all over Cornwall. This is a newly converted cottage which lacks nothing and is like home from home. Hopefully visitors will appreciate the high standard and care for it too!
