Whitewater Cottage is a charming Victorian house in the centre of Llangollen in North Wales. The property has three bedrooms, a double, second-floor twin and a single, all serviced by a shower room and together sleeping five people. The property also has a kitchen and a sitting room, while outside there is road-side parking available, but it can get very busy. Whitewater Cottage is a wonderful location for a family holiday in the heart of Llangollen.

Llangollen is a glorious setting for a cottage holiday, with its enviable location amidst dramatic mountain scenery and the boulder-strewn River Dee running through its core. Explore the green valley by steam train or canal boat, or take an exhilarating walk up to Castell Dinas Brân, high above the town, in order to enjoy the breathtaking view. Llangollen offers a good range of pubs and restaurants, as well as many interesting shops. The National Trust properties of Chirk Castle and Erddig are within easy driving distance, while a day-long car trail can take you to visit six of the ‘Seven Wonders of Wales’. Offa’s Dyke Path passes nearby and boasts pleasant walking along the crest of the Clwyd hills, plus the famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is 5 miles away, and Snowdonia is less than an hour’s drive.

The cottage is lovely with all facilities and is located in an excellent location just 2 minutes from the central high street and bridge. It is beautifully decorated throughout. With just 2 of us and a dog we had a very comfortable stay. The dog stayed on the ground floor by means of a stair gate which we thought was not mounted in the best place - a bit of a trip hazard. The 2nd floor room with twin beds is accessed by a very steep stepladder-style staircase which might not suit some families, particularly if not fully able or with small children. There is a rear entrance through a narrow passage but no garden.

We have just returned from a lovely stay at Whitewater Cottage. It was the perfect place for us, two adults, two children and even two cats. The cottage is very central but extremely quiet. It was perfectly clean and well equipped. The lounge also has a folding dinning table which was an unexpected surprise. As was the washer/dryer. Although it is on street parking, we never had any problems finding a space. Only thing to keep in mind is the stairs to the attic bedroom are very steep, but apart from that, no complaints whatsoever! Would definitely recommend a stay here.
