White Rose Cottage is a modern terraced property on the The Bay Holiday Park near to Filey in North Yorkshire. The property sleeps four people and has a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a bathroom. The rest of the accommodation comprises a sitting room with dining area, a kitchen and a cloakroom. Outside there is off road parking for one car and a small private patio with furniture and barbecue. There's also shared use of the park's facilities including an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and tennis court. With so much going on in the area, White Rose Cottage is a superb holiday accommodation, all year round.

Area
Filey is a traditional English seaside resort with a friendly atmosphere, offering a restful holiday. A fishing town on the North East Coast, Filey has enjoyed a reputation of being a resort since Victorian times, set affront the magnificent Filey Bay, a long stretch of sand. The town itself seems almost caught in a time warp, retaining much of its character with individual shops, narrow paths, and ginnels.

The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

I stayed at the White Rose cottage on the Bay in Filey on the first weekend of March. The cottage had just been refurbished which included a new bathroom and shower. The cottage was lovely and clean and the perfect size for four people. It was nice and warm and cosy, parking to the rear with excellent facilities on site including swimming pool, steam room, sauna, gym, tennis courts and a pub which were a five minute walk from the cottage. The beach is only ten minutes away by foot with a further twenty minute walk into Filey centre. Excellent for families and would definitely recommend.

Had a brilliant long weekend at White Rose Cottage the Bay. Our 3rd year running. The cottage was beautiful, had everything you could think of. We were concerned it would be small for 4 adults but plenty of space and clean. The welcome hamper was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed the fudge. Thank you. My Mum, daughter and I had a wonderful stay in Whiterose Cottage. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped and in a lovely location- so close to the really lovely Filey bay beach and so easy to get to Scarborough and Flamborough Head too. Helen is a wonderful host and really made sure everything was just right for us and sorted out a very minor issue very promptly. We will definitely stay again !

We enjoyed a lovely break at the White Rose Cottage, the cottage is well equipped and superbly located, it was just perfect for our needs, the lovely dog friendly beach is only a 10-minute walk away and the new walk along the cliff tops to the beach café makes for a lovely evening stroll or for an early morning breakfast trip. The cottage is well located allowing us to enjoy day trips to a lot of the other East Coast resorts over the week. We also stayed at the White Rose Apartment last year for a few nights which was also superb. Highly recommended, we hope to return soon.

White rose cottage is a lovely modern cottage,it is extremely well equipped with everything you need,it was clean and has really comfortable beds, the on-site facilities are great and only a short walk away,the beautiful vast beach is also within walking distance.we had a lovely stay here and would definitely recommend it. My family and I had an amazing time. The property was just perfect for our needs. It was clean and spacious. The owner (Helen) was really accommodating and friendly. There was a slight issue with the booking system that the leisure centre was using (on site), Helen kept us informed throughout our stay. We will be definitely coming back again.

We have stayed at the Bay probably ten times in the past five or so years and this is far and away the best house we have stayed at. Upon arrival we did the usual look around and see what’s what. Amazed and delighted at the cleanliness and level of stock in the house. Crockery- loads, wardrobe space-loads, cleaning stuff-loads, towels-loads, condiments- blooming loads!! There was even Milton Brown (my favourite!!) hand wash and lotion. Nice big bath, again, my favourite. Parking right outside the door. Everything controllable by the owner surpassed our expectations. My wife is a senior travel agent for an independent company and will be recommending this cottage to all! Thanks so much for making our New Years awesome Helen Scott x

Perfect cottage and location. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you need. The complex is safe and secure with a Pub, cafe and shop together with the pool and gym . Filey is easy access to get to either by walking on the beach depending on tide times or along the coastal path. Have stayed before and will definitely be staying again

The cottage was very clean, extremely well equipped and really comfortable, giving us everything we needed for our holiday. The booking was very easy and the support from the owner was first class, including a small change in our visiting party. We very much appreciated the permission to take our dog, who certainly enjoyed the stay as much as us, especially the great beach and local walks. With a shop, cafe and pub restaurant the site has everything you need, and felt very safe. We would certainly book again with no hesitation.

We have recently returned from a lovely stay at White Rose Cottage. The property is ideal for couples or a small family with two good sized bedrooms that have very comfortable beds. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need and the living area is spacious and homely. On site there is a good sized swimming pool and a range of activities for all the family to enjoy. There is also a playground area for the kids and a reasonably priced shop. The property is walking distance to the beautiful beach and is situated within easy access to neighbouring Scarborough and Bridlington. The cottage and on site facilities are in fantastic condition. All in all we had a fantastic stay and we would highly recommend it.

Returned to White Rose Cottage for the 5th time and still loved it as much as our first stay it’s a real home from home. The cottage has everything you could need and more. The cottage has had a recent update and is looking lovely and bight with lovely new sofas and accessories and very comfortable. The amenities on the bay are situated 2 minute walk from the cottage and the beach no more than 10 minutes. The beach at The Bay is a fantastic beach and spotless and also dog friendly. We used the gym and pool during our stay which was also spotless with friendly staff and Covid safe rules in place. The John Paul Jones pub on The Bay series lovely food, the pizza’s were fab !!! All in all a fantastic holiday and looking forward to September for your next stay Definitely five star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

White Rose Cottage is a real home from home by the sea. Everything to make our stay comfortable, whatever the weather. Warm and cozy, with great tv for colder evenings, yet only10 minutes walk from a lovely wide stretch of beach. Plenty of facilities on the well-kept holiday park to keep everyone happy, and lots of interesting places within a short car ride. We'll be back!

Our family have just returned from a short break staying at this property. This is a first class Holiday home with all the modern amenities you could wish for. The house was sparkling clean and was so comfortable after a long days walking on the coast. Fabulous walks locally including around Filey and Flamborough. The location of White Rose cottage is just amazing all amenities on the doorstep. The cottage has everything that you need for a prefect holiday. Since our last stay the cottage has a makeover with lovely new furniture. Pet friendly yet still stunning stop less and super clean. This is our fourth stay in the cottage but seventh stay at the Bay as previously stayed at White Rose flat that is also stunning in an amazing location great for couples or small family. The bay and cottage followed all Covid rules during our stay in a difficult time very impressed!!! Ready to book for next year.

We have just returned from a fantastic week's break at White Rose Cottage.. It's a lovely property which is very well maintained, clean and has all your home from home needs. Having Netflix and also very good WiFi was another bonus. The Bay is a lovely resort and the onsite facilities are all very good...and also very close by to the cottage.! The beach is also beautiful. Spans for miles and we spent lots of time on it with our dog who loved it. Filey is 3 km away on the beach and makes for a great walk there and back. The owners were very helpful and sent us lots of information before hand so we knew what to expect. We would highly recommend White Rose Cottage and The Bay resort and will definitely be returning. Thank you for a fabulous week.

Absolutely loved staying at Whiterose Cottage at The Bay. It was home from home, ideally located with lots of nice pubs and restaurants nearby, and only a 10 minute walk to the beach. My family and I had a lovely little break here and will definitely be coming back.

Just back from a fabulous week at White Rose Cottage. A lovely, clean, well equipped cottage and to add to this a beautifully sunny week! We mostly relaxed, the chairs and beds very comfy and great to have WIFI. We had some beautiful sunsets and a great view on Venus in the early evening. Loved the cottage so much we have booked again for later in the year.

We had a great time at White Rose Cottage in Filey.. The house was gorgeous, warm, and had everything you could possibly need for a short or lengthy stay. It was clean and spacious and would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay. Our only criticism is that the bed was very hard and we struggled to sleep. The house was fantastic but we really didn't sleep at all. A more comfortable bed would make us book this house time and time again.

Very nice and well appointed house in a great location.. The Cantrell heating is controlled by a locked hive system which meant we couldn’t increase the setting on cool nights, or turn on the towel rail to dry off our towels after showering. There isn’t a single light in the house which is bright enough to read by in the evening either, which could be easily rectified. Final niggle was that in supplying an abundance of kitchen utensils, crockery and gadgets to cater for an army, there was no cupboard space left for our own food supplies. These are minor issues, which I mention as having paid for a first class experience, it took the edge off. I fully expect to return next year and see the owner has taken steps to address the issues.

Another wonderful holiday at White Rose Cottage for me and my family. This is a wonderful house fantastically well maintained and provides a perfect base for our holidays. The bedrooms are a great size and living room Is ideal for a young family. The free wi-fi also keeps our children entertained! The on site facilities are much improved and there are lots to do for adults and children alike. The bay itself is a great location with direct beach access which the children love. Helen can’t do enough to help and makes every stay we have there perfect. I would highly recommend anyone thinking of booking this cottage to do so straight away. I know we will be!

We stayed at the cottage in June and we had the perfect stay. The cottage has modern decor throughout and was spotlessly clean. The cottage is really spacious and was equipped with everything we needed for our stay, including free WiFi and Netflix. It’s just a short stroll to the pub which served lovely food and has indoor and outdoor seating areas, it’s also just a short walk to beach. The cottage has a lovely outside BBQ and seating area and plenty of parking. We had the perfect trip and will definitely be returning. We have recommended the cottage to family and friends.

I visited with my family and dogs in April and had a perfect stay. The accommodation has absolutely everything you need for a family as well as being comfortable and spacious. The location is ideal with a short walk to the beach leading to a stunning walk to Filey. The on-site pub is dog friendly with an extensive itinerary of entertainment for all. I stayed at White Rose Cottage for a week in March with my Mum and 2 year old girl. We had a wonderful time. The cottage is just perfect. Just like a home from home. All the mod cons and very well maintained. There is a large double with enough room for a travel cot and a twin. There is a family bathroom and a toilet downstairs too. There is a lovely outside searing area with parking just outside the house too. The site itself again is well maintained. This is my third visit to The Bay and it won't be the last. There is an indoor pool, play area, games room, pub and a pizzeria/coffee shop on site. There are lots of places in the area to visit too. I would highly recommend White Rose Cottage to anyone looking to stay at The Bay.

The accomodation was excellent.. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to selfcater. The beds were very comfortable. We particularly enjoyed having very good WiFi and access to Netflix etc. Having a downstairs toilet as well as the upstairs bathroom made life easier for us. We have stayed at the Bay three previous times and this accommodation is the best we have experienced.

The Bay is lovely, not crowded.. Dog friendly pub, beach, swimming pool, park, tennis court, archery etc. It was nice walk to the beach, very scenic. Only one thing missing is a shop on site, there is a chemist which sells essentials such as milk and bread but we went in and they had sold out. Tesco is only 3 miles away though and there's a spa shop a mile away but sometimes you don't always want to take your car out. We stayed at White Rose Cottage, would recommend this Cottage to everyone. Weather was beautiful. This is our fourth visit to Filey. For somewhere different to eat and it is dog friendly, we would recommend Royal Oak pub, Hummanby, there's a soft play upstairs, park and lovely food. Overall we had a very nice holiday. Stayed here with my partner and teenage daughter the cottage was lovely and clean and comfortable and fully equipped with everything you would need liked the fact there was free WiFi and netflix which we watched each evening after full days out to the likes of scarborough whitby York and bridlington..enjoyed walking down to the beach which was only 10-15 mins away and then along to filey would thoroughly recommend the cottage to anyone we had a wonderful stay

The information sent to us by the owners prior to our stay was very comprehensive and everything was thought of.. on arrival the cottage was warm and clean a super welcome on a dull day, all the extras in the kitchen are a bonus, not what you get when you normally book let only accommodation, for example, extra crockery, a wide selection of glass wear, huge selection of oven wear and utensils, how often have you holidayed and not had enough utensils to even rustle up a full breakfast for four? all i needed was at white rose cottage. even a selection of melamine plates/bowls for outdoor use of for younger guests in your holiday party. and a slow cooker, throw it all in in the morning switch on, set off for a hike across the moors or a walk over Filey Brigg and its ready on your return. dishwasher and washer/dryer in kitchen also. the lounge area was light bright airy and very comfortably furnished. the bedrooms were comfortable with beautifully clean linen and towels provided. the second bedroom was more than adequate for our 14&12 yr. old for space and comfort, with beds different ends of the room to give them each space and their own storage & lamp. the bathroom had a good shower and large bath with constant hot water supply. a small well kept area outside patio doors to have a bbq and sit at the garden furniture. the free Wi-Fi coped with multiple devices connected at once. The Bay as a site is well kept. we used the pub for a drink but lots were having meals there they looked good. the swimming pool has long opening hours and the times we used it, it was clean and of a reasonable temperature. i consider a week at white rose cottage to be good value for money and we certainly were not dissapointed

The cottage was beautiful and had everything plus more in it no need to take washing up liquid tea coffee sugar it was all in there fully equipped sold it short.. The Bay was a ideal base to visit Scarborough and Whitby and was perfect if you had a dog as the Bay was so dog friendly everyone there at the time of year we went march had a dog and it was only a ten minute walk to a beach and your dog could go off lead on the walk to and on the beach.The insight leaisure centre was spotless and ideal for a swim and the steam and sauna rooms were lovely. Our son used the gym which was fully equipped. Will go again.

We booked this as an early week away with our 2 teenage daughters and we absolutely loved this place. The site was such a pleasant holiday village to stay on. yes, there was still building work ongoing, (as mentioned in many other reviews) but this didn't impact negatively on our stay one bit. There was plenty to do in the area and we enjoyed a walk into Filey along the stunning stretch of beach. An evening stroll often ended up with a brief walk on the Sands. we didn't try Lorenzo's other than to buy some take out Ice creams (it was a scorcher of a week so ice cream and the odd visit to the pub were a must) but we did enjoy a meal at Valentino's just on the main road outside the complex for our wedding anniversary. highly recommended. We took part in archery, the girls hired the tennis courts and used the pool. so I think we fully took advantage of the facilities The Bay has to offer. I also managed to arrange a shopping delivery from Asda, for just after we arrived, so no holiday time wasted looking for a shop. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and we do think we'll return one day. would defo recommend.

The only downside is that construction continues on the holiday village.. This created no problems for us. We really liked the house and the facilities. The beach is beautiful and one of the best in England. A lovely week weather gorgeous :-)
