We very much enjoyed our stay at Whinberries. It was a home from home, perfectly located for walks to the beautiful surrounding area and visits to the local pub across the road. The owners of the property were lovely and very helpful in suggesting local walks and visits to local attractions.

Being next to a stream in a quiet part of Shropshire. An excellent location for walking and enjoying the hills with an excellent pub just a short walk away. The cottage owners met us as we arrived and could not have been more helpful in showing us around the property and suggesting local walks.

Stayed here for a weekend with friends. Owner very helpful. The cottage has lots of character and is very well equipped and clean It served as a good base to explore the Shropshire countryside from. There is a National Trust area very close by with good walks and cafe. The lovely town of Church Stretton is a mile away.

Turned up at the house to find the pud across the road had been closed for six months and it was over a mile to the next place to eat .. Then was let in to find the house to be extremely cluttered with stuff which it looked like it had been brought from a car boot fair then was shown upstairs at this point I’m glade there was only 3 of use and not 5 as the fifth bed was in the corridor to the bathroom I’m 6ft tall and was impossible to have a shower and no bathroom mirror to shave in . The owner was not very generous with the basics like only 3 tea bags 1 toilet roll I asked if there was any dishwasher tablets the owner reluctantly handed over 3 in very disappointed and spent the minimum amount of time in the house and was glade I only booked 4 nights there

Some holiday cottages presume you will not be cooking but Whinberries is set up for major cookng with everything you might need.. There is every home comfort as well and lots of living space to spread about. Bedrooms are adequate but ideally only 4 people. Good situation for walks and getting around Shropshire.

Only drawback was 2nd floor bathroom which is a problem if you have any mobility problems i.. E. arthritis etc. as main bedrooms are on 1st floor. Ground floor does have a toilet though! Otherwise a lovely clean and we'll equipped cottage.
