A lovely relaxing cottage in beautiful countryside.. We had a lovely week there. Only complaint, the single beds were uncomfortable, you could feel the springs in the mattress on one, and the base was broken. New mattresses should do the trick. Otherwise very good.

The property generally needed some TLC.. We arrived earlier than the stated check-in time but rang the phone number given on the paper work to see if it was possible to check in earlier. We left a message on the answering machine but no one got back to us and when we told David this he said 'we don't really use the land line very much' !! In our opinion this property should be graded as a 3 star

Sadly we had to leave early when country went into lockdown.. The cottage was in a lovely location and had good facilities. Double bed mattress was soft and uncomfortable and the fridge was tiny, certainly not enough space for 4 people’s food. Saying that, everything else was lovely.

A very welcoming cottage, large rooms everything was there what you would need & more.. the owner David was very nice and wanted to make sure we were happy with everything, he told us if there were any problems not to hesitate to call him. Would love to go back given the chance.

Cottage whilst being in a rural location was very close to Leominster. Kitchen was well equipped and had everything you think you might need including spare dishwasher tablets which you always seem to forget. Beds were comfortable if not a little warm on day 1. However once we mentioned duvet thickness to owner he immediately went into town to be able to offer us thinner duvets within the hour. Enough room to park 2 cars outside cottage but gateway was a little snug given the size of modern cars. Cottage had a nice patio and outside chairs which had the weather been better when we were staying would have been nice to use. Patio doors were though a nice viewing point for garden birds who visited daily.

The cottage is a story of two halves, on the one hand the cottage was very spacious, warm, plenty of hot water and the welcome pack of tea, milk and biscuits was most welcome after our long drive, there was parking for two cars in front of the cottage.. On the other hand - bedroom one had a unit of drawers but there were so small you had difficulty putting clothes in, the second bedroom had no chest of drawers at all, although there was plenty of room to add one, thankfully there was a spare bed which could be used. All the beds whilst adequate would be in need of a change soon. The lounge furniture was most uncomfortable and you could not sit on it for any length of time. The chairs round the kitchen table could be enhanced if seat cushions could be added. Did we have a good time - yes. The weather was atrocious but we were warm and snug in an pretty area.

A lovely spacious cottage.. Very comfortable. Will definitely book again. The pub in Stoke Prior no longer exists so needs to be removed from your information.

Lovely spot.. Fabulous view over the country side. Although on the main road into the village you are well shielded by the wall and plants and the traffic is minimal (we live on the outskirts of town so comparing it to that). The house is fairly well equipped. I don’t think there was anything we missed in the kitchen. The garden is a real sun trap perfect for a barbecue and a lazy evening chatting over a glass of beer and secure for the dog. We really enjoyed our stay. It’s a shame the pub in the village has shut down but in all fairness we didn’t miss it.

This holiday is a regular get together for myself, my sister and our daughters (although one daughter couldn't make it this year).. Last year we booked a cottage through another agency and were not at all impressed. As you can imagine we were a little apprehensive about finding the cottage up to our standards. We were not disappointed. The location and standard of the accommodation were suitable for all our needs. It was easy to get to all the places we wanted to see and as we were out all day it was lovely to come back to a warm cottage. The owner was on site if we had any problems ( we didn't) so all in all a great break.

Lovely property, spacious.. Good location, found plenty to do. Beautiful area, owners close by. Just a couple of niggles, the double bed had a mattress with springs and squeaked every time you turned, sadly because of the hot weather we turned quite a lot. The wash hand basin in double room bathroom had an intermittent fault where it would let the water out of the sink. Having said that nothing spoiled our holiday, it was great and we would go again to this property.

I guess this would qualify as an average cottage compared to the ones we have gone to through Sykes in previous years.. The cottage was very spacious, but arranged in a strange way downstairs. The facilities were good, but not great. Some small items of equipment weren't available (tongues for the grill for instance) but there were three can openers!!. The cottage was a little tired is the best way to describe it, but still very good as a base.

This was an impromptu break, so I didn’t research the cottage in as much depth as I normally would.. I just wanted somewhere that looked comfy, allowed my dog, and wasn’t too much of a journey from home. It turned out to be all of those things and loads more. So much so that I would happily sell up and move there tomorrow..... The cottage is very clean, light, airy and spacious. The main bed is exceptionally comfortable (didn’t try the others, obviously), and the choice between full bathroom and full shower room was perfect for me. The south-facing patio, looking out over the fields and hills, is idyllic and we spent a lot of time there, watching the swallows and swifts toing and froing. We had the bonus of stunning weather too. And peaceful......so very peaceful..... The location is also perfect for country walks, and of course a good base for NT properties Berrington Hall, Croft Castle and Brockhampton Estate. The cottage is also well equipped, with most things provided that any normal person or family would want. There are a couple of things that the kitchen is short of but, as a self-catering veteran, I am always prepared for this, as I am used to it..... In short, I and my furry friend loved it and had the most fabulous weekend ever. We will certainly be returning. As soon as we can save our pennies to do so in fact.......

The Wheelbarrow Cottage is the perfect holiday cottage, tucked away in the beautiful peaceful Midlands. Near to Leominster making it a very convenient location if you are planning to self-cater or visit the local pubs. The Host was always near and very helpful, the cottage is very well stocked even having a drip coffee pot (if I had known I would have packed my favorite coffee grounds), and with the private patio just outside the dining area the perfect spot to enjoy that morning coffee. The Wheelbarrow Cottage is everything I would ever want in a holiday rental and more. If I am ever back in The Midlands area I will want to stay here again.

Was told to ring owner to find out where key was, but apparently he was away so eventually your main office got the info for me, but this meant a lot of stress in the days before our holiday.. The lighting in cottage was very poor, too dim to read in the evenings in sitting room or kitchen.

The cottage was great with everything you could need.. The only thing that was a disappointment was that there should have been a shop and pub near by but unfortunately both have closed, therefore it should now be removed from the listing to save any future disappointment.
