The views over the open countryside are just stunning and can be enjoyed from the conservatory, walled gardens. There's also plenty of off road parking and access to the fields and forests beyond the property. Ideal for a family or friends who want to spend some quality time together exploring the beautiful Scottish Borders and the Lake District at any time of year.

Longtown is a fantastic base for a holiday as it comes in the centre of four Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, including Solway Coast AONB, the Northumberland National Park, North Pennines AONB and the Lake District National Park.

The peace and tranquility of this place combined with the gorgeous house was exactly what we needed.. Everything we needed was there and we are both in agreement it's the best holiday in this country that we have ever had. It was soooo good we have booked again for July. Can't wait!!

There were a lot of signs about rules which made it feel a bit less homely sorting out the heating took a couple of days owners should say if you are using log burner you will need to buy logs sticks etc only one basket provided and no sticks.. The cottage is fab but very remote

Hot Tub was unusable.. Was not kept maintained or clean. The Bathroom is a delight as is the area and the house.

The farmhouse the view and surroundings are all beautiful.. It far exceeded our expectations. The photos of it although lovely don't really do it justice. A total week of relaxation for myself, husband and 2 children. The large bath with TV, the log burning fire and the hot tub just added to the experience. We would not hesitate to recommend if you're looking to get away from it all. We're already thinking of when we'd like to return. A few little suggestions from us.....some hooks at the hot tub to hang towels and dressing gowns and a set of drawers and bedside lamp in the small single bedroom. Otherwise a perfect and comfortable home from home.

What a fabulous place, our family loved every minute of our holiday.. The farmhouse itself exceeded expectations with its tastefully decorated rooms, lovely comfortable beds and quality equipment and facilities. The area was very quiet and peaceful with amazing views from all sides. Enjoyed scenic drives to kielder water and Hadrian's wall. Would highly recommend.

Westmains farm was fantastic.. When we arrived The house was clean and very well equipped. Throughout the holiday we made use of the hot tub which was awesome. We had various BBQs while we were there. The bathroom is fantastic. The decor is lovely and modern but yet traditional at the same time. We had a great holiday at westmains and we will be coming back next year.

The photos of westmains farm didn't do it justice, it was done up to a very high standard and specification, the views were amazing , the bed was really comfy and the house was warm and cozy, everything we needed was provided in the house including kitchen utensils, gowns for the hot tub, plenty of towels, great hairdryers and much more.. I would definately reccomend to others and we will be returning soon.

The cottage was absolutely fantastic.. It had everything you needed to make our break just what we needed. The kitchen was very well equipped. The furnishings in the cottage were outstanding, the log burner was welcome and the hot tub was nice and relaxing. The idea from the cottage were stunning and we had some lovely walks. We even walked into Scotland (only 2.5 mile down the road). Will definitely be returning.

The accommodation was excellent with the best stocked kitchen (utensils, plates, pans, cutlery, etc, etc) I've ever seen in a holiday let and probably some homes! The location was beautiful with stunning views and if it is peace and quiet you are after this is the place. The only negatives were that there is no pub within a 5 minute walk you have to drive and the house (with the exception of the bathroom) was cold despite having central heating. I would recommend this property
