My husband and I stayed at the cottage for 4 nights over the May bank holiday. Suzy gave us a warm, cheerful welcome and was very helpful with her local knowledge in terms of directions and places to visit. If you’re looking for somewhere quiet to get away, this is ideal as it’s so far away from any roads and houses and it’s very peaceful. It’s also just a short drive away from Mt Cnicht and local walking trails. The facilities are basic but comfortable and Suzy added some welcome homely touches with milk in the fridge, butter, jam, tea, coffee, sugar, cakes and sweets . There were plenty of clean towels, comfy cushions and the cottage was spotless. There was everything we needed and it was a cost, warm little cottage to get back to in the evening after a long hike. We highly recommend it.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the cottage for 4 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The location is ideal, very secluded in the forest, lovely and peaceful with great views over the valley and mountains. On our arrival we were welcomed by Sue (and Guto the dog ) who showed us to the cottage and told us not to hesitate to ask if there was anything we needed. It looked just as it did from the pictures, really quaint and cosy. There was a lovely surprise of a bottle of wine and some Welsh cakes waiting in the kitchen, along with some tea bags, butter, jam, milk and coffee We were very thankful as we were in desperate need of a cup of tea after a 7 hour drive! The kitchen was well equipped (apart from a grater!) and everywhere was very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the only thing that disturbed our sleep was that there were no blinds for the large windows on the roof, letting in a lot of light. Definitely something that could be looked into. I think a few toiletries in the bathroom, especially some soap, wouldn't go amiss but other than that it was pretty perfect. We did get a little cold at times but there was an electric log burner which we could put on for extra heat as the central heating is controlled by the owners. We would definitely recommend and would stay again if we visit in the future.

Very enjoyable experience and would recommend to anybody looking for a unique and cozy getaway.. Sue and Gary were great hosts!! The bed could be a bit more comfortable but I'll gladly accept that for the amazing views the cottage offered.
