A thoroughly down-to-earth home positioned a twenty-minute drive from Kalami Beach, this charming villa is rustic and relaxing. You’ll feel instantly at ease in the living space – we loved the dark wood, timber beams, antique furnishings and yellow-painted stucco walls.

Spend mornings slow and steady with a coffee at the dining table before slipping on your flip flops and exploring the grounds. There’s a pool for keeping cool on hot afternoons and a fitness room for keeping active between sunbathing sessions.

Pick up local cheese and wine from the quaint on-site shop and enjoy on the shaded terrace. Head to the rooftop for sweeping views of the Cretan Sea – though should you fancy a closer look, take the nineteen-minute car ride to Kalyves and watch the tide ebb and flow from the shoreline. Return home in the evening for a serious pampering session in the steam room and a blissful night’s sleep beneath your bed’s airy canopy.
