Where do you begin Butlers flat is by far the best we have stayed in so far it surpasses any 5* we have stayed in from walking through the front door we were blown away by the amazing surroundings we passed the original kitchen and climbed the stairs to the flat and what we found as we walked in was pure luxury there wasn’t one thing that we could’ve asked for , we were only there for 5 days but definitely needed to be there longer the peace and tranquility was fantastic just what we needed to recharge our batteries ,it is so accessible and easy to get to so many places , we will definitely be back but for longer just for the pure beauty of the whole place ! 100% of excellence to you both Archie and Phillipa

The bed was very comfy, the wine, milk and biscuits were a lovely touch.. One thing, however, that could have improved our stay were instructions on how to use the oven.

The family were very helpful and went out of their way to fix a problem Booking.. Com caused. If you plan to book the Butlers flat I would definitely recommend. It’s in a wonderful location and the flat has most everything you could want from a short term holiday let.

Lovely apartment in owners large estate house, very comfortable and quiet.. Everything you need for a quiet break in Wales. It’s a working estate with stables and farm plus a large herd of highland cattle wanderIng the parkland. We were there in mid summer it was unusually cold but we were very comfortable.

Butler's Flat was a perfect place for our short break in North Wales.. Being allowed to explore a family estate after a day out was a privilege not to be abused. The flat itself was immaculate and a mix of modern and traditional fittings. Cefn Park was an ideal location to view places and towns we hadn't seen for years. Archie and Philippa are the perfect hosts

Butler’s Flat is a lovely apartment in a great location, lovely walks around the estate right from the doorstep.. The surrounding area has lots of attractions such as Erddig, Chirk Castle and the Llangollen canal. A very relaxing few days, many thanks.

Stayed at Butler’s Flat for a relatively last minute 4 night break.. The flat was just as described and Cefn Park was a very peaceful location. Lovely light and airy accommodation, however, it was very cold - thankfully we were able to light the fire each day, which helped to warm the lounge but still very cold in the other rooms. Facilities were very good, kitchen well equipped, powerful shower and large screen tv and free view were very welcome. The WiFi was terrible - access was via ‘access point’, which links via a wired connection, making it very slow, dropping out frequently, especially when being used by several WiFi connections. The flat does need some tlc in places - the ‘pillows’ on the bed were just material filled with a few lumps, couldn’t be used! And the mattress topper wasn’t large enough for the bed so there was a big drop at the top. We had to use cushions for pillows! All in all an enjoyable break, easy booking, great value!

Great last minute find for a short break.. Butlers Flat is very comfortable with nice views over Cefn park and beyond. Real log fire was a welcome treat after lovely walks around the estate. Lots of interesting info about the estate, seeing the Victorian kitchen was a bonus. Lovely place to stay would like to see it in spring and summer too.

We slipped away and spent our silver wedding anniversary at The Butlers Flat.. It was home from home, so quiet and peaceful. We never got around to finding the pond or the kitchen garden sadly but would definitely stay again. Absolutely perfect!

Butlers Flat is very tastefully decorated clean and comfortable, and has everything you need for a holiday break.. Cefn Park is a lovely estate with countryside walks and animals, and the house is famed for its Victorian kitchen which is very interesting. The owners are very friendly and helpful. It is within easy access of Wrexham and Chester and there are many places of interest to visit in the area. This is definately where to stay for a peaceful, relaxing break and I can thoroughly recommend this property.

The butlers flat is a great home away from home in the stunning Cefn Park estate. Philippa and Archie ensured everything was just right, and it was. Location wise: great walks (stunning views along Offas Dyke Path from nearby Trevor), mountain biking, (fast swooping single track and challenging technical sections on the black trail at Coed Llandegla) and exhilarating white water rafting and canyoning (National White Water Centre, Bala) are all within a drive. Butlers flat was a joy to return to each evening. This is truly charming holiday accommodation with oodles of history and excellent facilities. Oh and a full sized snooker table in the games room.
