Holiday cottage ‘Waders ‘ was perfect for us as a couple, of course, we had more than enough space- as the cottage sleeps up to six people.. The view from the rear , looks across the estuary. As Waders is set on a hill above the town, you look out on this , from the two double bedrooms, and dining room, plus from the veranda on the small , but ample back garden.
We found the area very peaceful, we even forgot what an aeroplane sounds like , let alone traffic or noisy people !
Salcombe itself, is a pretty little town- a short , albeit, hilly walk from the cottage, with plenty of small shops , pubs & restaurants ( which can be a bit pricey) some lovely little sandy coves , a bit more of a walk away. Surrounding areas, are exactly what you expect from Devon- picturesque, and rural. We will return !
