Virvale Barn is a barn conversion, attached to a potting shed, situated next to the owner's farmhouse, on a smallholding, three miles from the resort of Combe Martin. This cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms with en-suite facilities, consisting of one ground floor king-size double with TV and a first floor zip/link twin bedroom. The cottage also has a ground floor kitchen with dining area and a first floor sitting room with woodburner. Outside there is off road parking for two cars, a front patio with furniture and use of the owner's farmland. Virvale Barn is ideal for walkers, families and anyone who wants a quiet getaway. Note: Due to the deep pond, streams, gullies and the concrete steps leading to the property entrance, children should be supervised at all times. Note: Due to the owner’s dogs, ponies, chickens and pigs, please ensure dogs are supervised at all times.

Area
The seaside resort of Combe Martin is situated close to the Exmoor National Park and offers a popular beach. Close by is Lynton, Lynmouth, Woolacombe, Croyde Bay, Saunton Sands, Ilfracombe and Barnstaple, as well as a number of National Trust properties.

Region
Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 3 miles. Another great week at Virvale Barn.. The week went so quick and the weather was fantastic. From having breakfast on the patio which catches the sun in the morning to the fire in the evening in the living room. If you want peace and quiet with a fantastic view down the valley this is the place to go.Ideal for the visits to the beach and another gem found at Lee Bay. Don't bother looking elsewhere in Devon for your perfect accommodation and location it's here!

Peaceful relaxing surroundings.. Outstanding location .Access lane to property a little bumpy. A few what i would describe as 'Speed Bumps " So drive slowly on approach. Maybe marking with Yellow line paint may help. That was my only complaint.

It was a lovely, quiet location to holiday in.. the only issue was the intermittent wifi ...it might need to be upgraded as we had some access problems. Other than that it was fabulous.

We have been staying at various cottages in Devon and Cornwall for the past twenty years and this is by far the best.. The location is brilliant being only ten minutes away from the coast and fantastic beaches at Woolacombe and Saunton beach.The barn was spot on with all the amenities you need and the view from the large window was amazing.The hosts Sharon and Greg could not do enough for you so friendly and always there to help with any questions you needed answering.The farm was lovely and fun feeding the pigs and watching the deer at dusk on the hill.

Wow a fantastic barn conversion finished to an exceptional high standard.. The owners took time to have a chat about the local area and some things to do. The animals on site made it a nice place to stay especially sally the dog and the horses. I would highly recommend this property to families and couples looking for that quiet getaway .

Virvale Barn is a stunning holiday property.. It is very stylish and comfortable. The location is amazing being at the end of a private road and overlooking the edge of Exmoor. But Combe Martin is close by , Exmoor is on the doorstep and some of the main coastal North Devon resorts a short drive away. Sharon and Greg are friendly and welcoming. One of the best holiday homes I have ever stayed in.

Virvale Barn is in a very tranquil position surrounded by working farms with no passing traffic. Very friendly owner who was not intrusive. The sitting area was at first floor area with good views. Generally a good retreat from the hurly burly but near to seaside and local attractions.

The barn is a lovely conversion, done to a high standard and is perfect for families and couples looking for a quiet romantic break. The owners are lovely and really helpful. The barn is close enough to the larger towns of Llfracombe etc. and there's plenty of things to do in the surrounding area. Overall, a great holiday and we're likely to come back next year.

The idyllic country setting and the remote quiet setting of the Barn was exactly what we sought and we were not disappointed -it was just perfect. The Owners extended to us a warm welcome and after offering us their undivided services left us to settle in. The Barn, decorated to a pleasing country standard is very well equipped with all that was needed to offer to us the comfort we sought. The country setting, the quietness and even the sunny weather all contrived to make this a memorable week's holiday. We will certainly be checking the calendar closely for any availability when the time comes for a second holiday break. Days out to a variety of coastal locations and other sites added to our enjoyment of our week in Devon.

This holiday property is by far the best that my family and I have stayed in for many years. Being on a farm with plenty of land it was great for our young grandson and two dogs. Five days of bliss in the lovely surroundings in a most beautiful part of the Devonshire countryside. The owners who live close by are friendly, made us very welcome and were on hand for any help we required. Excellent.
