We found the cottage to be very clean and found everything we needed.. It was as quiet as could be, just the occasional quiet aeroplane passed overhead. Very comfortable bed and the cottage was centrally heated and kept us nice and warm. I was concerned about the on street parking, but there was no problem. Just the path leading to the cottage was a bit rough, but really no problem. Plenty of local places to visit. The only thing that marred our visit was the weather, but we made the most of it. Overall we would certainly recommend this cottage for a comfortable place to stay.

Thermostatic valve on bedroom radiator does not turn off radiator, resulting in overheated bedroom.. Apart from that, everything as expected.to be recommended.

Although place was very clean and linen/crockery and utensils were spotless there were some negatives.. 1. The electrical appliances test was out of date. The sofa was very well worn and uncomfortable. We were woke at nights by scurrying of things either in the downstairs ceiling and in the attic.

Very nice cottage and very helpful owners who live next door.. Only slight problem was that we could not work out how to operate the shower and had to ask for help from the owners. It seems that the shower controls had been fitted upside down which explains why we could not make head nor tail of it without some assistance. Would be useful to have had some instructions..

We Just wanted a quiet few days away and the Vine Cottage definitely provided this.. There were lots of little extra things if we had needed them. First aid kit, sewing kit, books, DVD's etc. The owners had tried to provide for all needs. They even left a jug of milk, some tea bags and a packet of chocolate biscuits for our arrival. I was impressed with the quality of the sheets too and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

The clock was not working-it needed a new battery (done by me).. Several lights needed bulbs replacing (not done by me) Washing up Liquid not obvious (bought by us) Above indicated to us that more care could be taken by the owners/cleaners when checking the property between tenancies.

The cottage was as advertised and we had a very enjoyable stay.. Dan - the owner - met us on arrival and was very nice and friendly: on leaving, he was not there, so we could not say goodbye. Vine Cottage is a purpose-built holiday venue (that is comfortable and immaculate) in a lovely village with a great, ancient local pub (The Bell Inn) and a handy volunteer-run shop, both within 70 yards. Two (very small) minuses are that the tiny bathroom sink is situated opposite the mirror rather than below it, and the TV could be larger. I would wholeheartedly reccommend Vine Cottage

For us it was well placed, had everything we needed, was very warm and comfortable and - biggest bonus of all - had excellent Broadband. This is something that is extremely important to us when travelling and needs to be emphasised more by all such properties.

This wonderful cottage is situated in a beautiful village, ideal for a quiet get away. A wonderful welcome. So well equipped that we wanted for nothing. So many things to see and do in the surrounding area. The cottage is a fantastic base to explore or just to stay in and relax pottering round the village. Can't wait to go back hopefully for longer.
