Lemon & Liquorice is enchanting, and the host, Maria Cristina, is even more so. She’s put so much care into the details, the upkeep, and the overall finish. The street below is well-trodden, so there’s some noise if you leave the windows open, but the reason it’s so busy is the location, next to the Pantheon.Home truths:

*The step into the shower is 26cm high, this may not be suitable for those with reduced mobility
*The rooftop terrace is accessible to guests – please note that you are not allowed to bring your own food and beverages as these will have to be ordered and paid to the staff of the hotel that manages the rooftop
