Area
The picturesque fishing village of Hope Cove lies in a sheltered bay on South Devon’s coastline, offering superb views over Bigbury Bay and Burgh Island. A choice destination for families, two beaches offer soft sand for sandcastle building, plus rock pools great for entertaining children. The town remains a fishing village where crabs and lobsters are still landed, however it was once used by smugglers. Many ships have perished around the coast and the wrecks that lie beneath the waves make it a popular spot for divers. Above the beach there are a number of pubs and restaurants, including the popular café bar ‘The Cove’. The coastal footpath can be joined from here and leads towards the sandy beaches of Thurlestone and Bigbury-on-Sea in one direction, and the sailing town of Salcombe in the other.

Region
Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

Absolutely stunning property. It was spotlessly clean. Very large. Very well equipped. There was 8 of us and it was very spacious. Great that each room has a bathroom. Fantastic location. Only a short walk down to the beach. Stunning views from balcony. The only couple of negative things was the beds were not very comfy but that's a difficult one to please everyone. The other was there was no signage to say the name of the cottage from the road. We arrived in the dark and could not find the sign so had to ask in the local hotel after spending 20 mins up and down the road. We eventually found the sign in the garage. The other was the bottom of the hill leaving the cottage is very steep and at the bottom it's quite a drop and scrapes the underneath of your car. That could do with something being done. Would defiantly recommend this place and would stay again

Beautiful location but let down by a very poor state of repair, inside and out. Dirty, stained and smelly furniture. Dirty, dog urine smelling and stained old shag-pile rug in lounge area. Mouldy decking to balcony (dangerous), mouldy old patio furniture. Mouldy concrete steps to front and rear access (dangerous). Laminate covering on kitchen cupboard doors peeling off. Warn out laminate on kitchen worktops. Missing summerhouse Urine smelling front porch. The frustrating thing is, it wouldn’t cost much to sort the above but it’s certainly not worth £1000p/w in the month of March.

We booked a 4 night stay at Greystone to celebrate my 60th Birthday at the end of September 2019. The house is lovely, in a great location, very comfortable, and with fantastic sea views. We had everything we needed to make our stay most enjoyable. The weather wasn't brilliant at the start of our break, but when you have such wonderful views from your lounge window who cares! Everything was clean and well maintained, we struggled to understand the recycling and bins but think we got there in the end. Greystone got a 10 out of 10 from us.

Greystone was a well equiped home that felt more like a family home than a holiday home, magnificant views from the lounge and balcony and plenty of parking would definiteley like to visit again.. Booking was also very easy.
