Not only is there the aforementioned infinity pool and hot tub for the adults, but you'll also find a separate children's pool, chic sun loungers and teak-framed furniture to sink into.

If you can tear your eyes away from the views out over Souda Bay, the nearby village of Kokkino Chorio has a glass blowing factory where you can watch masters at work. Alternatively, head west along the coast to the beautiful Venetian port town of Chania, a little over thirty kilometres away, before continuing on to some of the island's most stunning beaches, including Falassarna and Elafonisi – both within day-trip distance.
