We enjoyed our stay at Bluebell House, which was well equipped, spacious and very clean. Communication with Liam was great and he was a pleasure to deal with. Gardens were beautiful and safe for kids and our dog to explore. Recommended!

Liam's house is just stunning. The location was just perfect for a family getaway. The large amount bedrooms enabled the whole family to spread out meaning we only came together when we wanted to. The house has seven bedrooms, five with en-suite. There is also a large family bathroom for the remaining two rooms. There is two lounges with plenty of chairs and each with a large flat screen telly. The large gardens are very well kept and have a few small trails through them. The cleanliness and maintenance of the house was top notch and we could not fault anything. Liam the owner met us upon arrival and gave us a briefing on the functioning of the house, but there is also a house manual should you not be able to take all in from the briefing. We look forward to being able to book again in the summer.

The Bluebelle house is on of the best places we stayed over the years.. There are two large sitting rooms, well equipped kitchen, and most of the rooms have en-suite. The house is spotless including bathrooms. It is well maintained by the owner. We stayed over the Christmas and it is one of the best times we ever had with families. Kids had plenty areas in a safe environment. House is surrounded by lush green gardens and mountains. Liam is the owner and is very professional in all areas. House is highly recommended in winter and summer. It is located few minutes away from Ballydehob village.

Great communication between ourselves and Liam, he was very helpful both on the phone and on our arrival.. Sadly, all three ladies expected a hairdryer to be available, so didn’t bring one. Liam said he would try to get one to us, but was unable to do so. The moral of the story ladies is please take your own hairdryer it’s less stressful! One other thing to take into account, it’s a big place to heat, the oil and electricity are metered, so the extra cost should be thought about. Remember that Ireland doesn’t have a postcode system like ours so sat nav is useful. I would also take a OS map too as it gives you a better view when planning journeys. The coastline is fantastic, we found isolated beaches for the 20 month old twins to run around on within 30 minutes of the house. We loved the place, the gardens are well stocked and a work in progress. The creaking floor in the room off the kitchen became a game, trying to cross it quietly at night! Love the fact that the hot water has a circulation loop so hot water is instant at any point, as long as you switch the pump on (downstairs in the basement).

This was a lovely house in a lovely setting, the rooms were comfortable and to a high standard.. The gardens were lovely, well maintained and attracted a variety of wild birds, the Veranda was lovely to sit out on of an evening. The owner, Liam met us at the beginning of the let and explained the operation of the the heating etc, everything worked as advised and we had no issues at all during the week. Although Balleydehob isn't too far away walking the last section of the road is not really an option, no pavements and the N71 is a busy main road, anyone considering using the pubs and Restaurants in the village would have to consider a "designated driver" or local taxis. Another point to remember for anyone hiring the house is that heating and electricity are not included in the price of the hire, we had hot water and heating on as we needed it and it was well covered by the 200 euro deposit we left at the beginning of the let. We will most probably return to this house at some time in the future, highly recommended.

Bluebell House is a magical setting.. lovely gardens especially the secluded japanese garden. The three acres is a childrens paradise worth every penny. easy access from n71 road and regional roads to cork and rosslare. general store at ballydehob well stocked, good centra store at schull five miles away. Kenmare very pretty, Skibbereen not pretty but the west cork hotel there is very fine indeed. road surfaces generally very high standard and traffic lighter further west you get but little towns get congested. most parking seems free of charge. we all had a marvellous time. try the local beef and seafoods succulent

We spent an amazing week at Bluebell House for a family celebration.. Any questions we asked were answered promptly and the bunch of flowers was very much appreciated. The house accommodated everyone easily and the garden was great for the kids as was the barbq area for the adults. Ballydehob and Schull were easily reached by car. We seen loads of West Cork and would love to return in the future! Thank you to the host Liam also!

The cottage is a bit tired, TV in one room doesn’t work, stair gate would of been helpful for toddlers, freezer door needs attention as does the mirror lights in the bathrooms, However the gardens and location is stunning..

The house and gardens are immaculate, very spacious important if you are a big group.. It's proximity to most of the towns and villages of west Cork is a big plus, no faults to mention the house is a credit to the owners. Frank

The house and gardens were beautiful and Liam the owner was very helpful and cheerful even though we were a little late arriving.. We were a group of 13 on a motorcycle holiday in County Cork and everyone agreed the house exceeded our expectations and was perfect for our needs. We have no hesitation in recommending the house as an ideal location to explore the area around County Cork.

The only thing was a lack of serving dishes, we had to but pans on the table.. Oven dishes could have been better. We had a great holiday and Liam could not have been more helpful. We hope to go again next year, maybe two weeks next time. When does next years booking start?

The cottage and gardens were lovely shame about the work going on in the garden there was a patio mid build but apart from that everything was lovely. We arrived at 2.55pm after travelling from Liverpool from 3.30am we were left in the garden whilst the owners finished getting the property ready for 30 mins . We were then issued with an itinerary of do's and don't and asked to pay a 200euro deposit in cash. We were told previous tenants had been charged for not emptying the dishwasher not cleaning pans etc properly and warned the oil heater was expensive so to turn water heating/on off. We were charged 40 euros for fuel even though we did not once use the heating and turned the hot water off after each bath/shower, we were charged 15 euros for not emptying the bins and leaving sand in the bath and for the tea cups being stained even though we used the dishwasher to clean everything. To be honest it felt more like a way for the owner to subsidise his weekly rate! Such a shame we found everyone else in cork so lovely/friendly and have not had any problems in the past staying in rental cottages.

We stayed here whilst visiting Cork on a weekend for a birthday celebration and it was amazing! House was spotless, furnishings were nice and lovely inside with plenty of space, great isolated scenic location if that's your type of thing and beautiful gardens surrounding It. If only it had a jazzuzi/ swimming pool! I would highly recommend it and have done already to family and friends. I would love to come back in future and it will be top of my list!

This is an absolutely beautiful property with superb gardens and all the mod cons. The owners were very helpful in facilitating our visit and were great hosts. The gardens are amazing and there is plenty of space and privacy there yet Ballydehob is only a few minutes away and Schull/Skibbereen 15 minutes in each direction. Fantastic place - highly recommended!

The house and gardens are amazing. You could sit and relax for hours looking at the landscaping. The little extras around the house were very unexpected, there were board games, a large DVD and video collection and some out door games.

It would be difficult to over praise this property. Its location is wonderful, the garden superb, the house very spacious and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed being able to sit on the balcony and watch the children playing in the garden. The area is ideal for families with children. There is so much to do without having to travel great distances. Mizen Head, the beach at Barley Cove, boat trips from Baltimore were particular highlights.

Have just enjoyed a fabulous holiday in bluebell house. The house itself is stunning and very modern and clean. It has 6 spacious double bedrooms and 1 single. Thee are showers in 5 of the rooms and a large jacuzzi in the bed bathroom . the kitchen is very large and modern and there are two sitting rooms. There us a great DVD and video collection. And all the appliances are very modern. The gardens are amazing with loads of walk way and even a tree house to the front. You will definitely need a car to stay in this house as its a good drive from the town. But its worth it. You won't be disappointed!
