Right in the heart of the Bairro Alto – this is not the place to stay if you’re hoping to be tucked up by 9pm – Aspersa feels like it’s been built on solid foundations (both in terms of the structure and the design). The basics are all in place – good furniture, practical appliances, comfortable beds. It’s a slight shame that the balcony doesn’t really go anywhere, but outdoor space is always nice to have, even if it’s perhaps not exploited to its full potential.
Home truths: *There are a couple of small scuff marks on the walls – nothing major, we just have an eye for these things
*Neither bathroom has any windows
*The third bedroom doesn't get much natural light
*When we visited, there was some construction work taking place on another building in the street
